The Seven Islands — Restaurant in Lefkada Municipality

I can only assume the previous negative reviews are written by those who are used to fancy-pants restaurants where it's more important for the decor to outshine the food. If you're looking for homemade, honest, local food then this is your place. The staff are friendly and welcoming: it's a true family style. We are thankful we ignored the other reviews and went there solely based off the fact that locals were eating there. We had: Greek salad, mixed starters, lamb chops, moussaka and pork souvlaki. Not only was everything brought out promptly by the most cheerful waitress we've encountered in memory. The food was superb.

We arranged to return next week and we're already looking forward to the next meal there.

We reached the tavern after being lost for a while, because the place ain't that easy to reach. This might not feel like a reason for a low rating but bare with me. First thing when we reached the tavern an old man greeted us and refused to let us sit on the table we asked even though the place had only one company to serve. Instead he tried to set us up on a table bathed in sun. After a while the ladies of our party visited the wc and they told us it was all smelly and dirty. On a sidenote the girls actually heard the stuff talking about us which felt kind of rude. That was pretty much for us, rude behaviour from the start, dirty and smelly wc's and negative attitude all the way. Me as an individual and our party does not...

It was our second time in Lefkada, never had a worst experience like this one. We’ve ordered some olives, feta, fried courgettes, spicy cheese, fried cheeseballs, and a portion of Savoro. The olives came with A LOT of salt and oregano (who puts salt on olives!?), the feta came in a plate full of olive oil, the fried cheeseballs were frozen (some of them were cold in the middle), the courgettes were soggy and the Savoro and the spicy cheese were not available.

Would not recommend to anyone, very bad experience.
