Dining at this establishment was an experience that left much to be desired, particularly when considering the expectations set by its inviting atmosphere and stylish decor. The main disappointment of the evening centered around the beef steaks, which, despite a specific request for medium-well, arrived at our table distinctly medium-rare. This initial letdown was compounded by an unusual encounter with the mashed potatoes, which bore a peculiar taste. Despite the shared tasting and confirmation from both the waiter and the maitre that they found the dish satisfactory, there was a clear reluctance to acknowledge or rectify the issue.

The experience took a further downturn with the wine service. A request for a full-bodied red with high acidity was met with a wine that was not only lacking in body but also served at an uncomfortably warm temperature, necessitating a chill to make it palatable. This, combined with the overall mediocrity of the remaining dishes and bread that was clearly not the result of a long maturation process, further diminished the dining experience.

While the ambiance of the restaurant may be commendable, it is unfortunate that the quality and execution of the food did not live up to the same standard. Given the price point of 55 euros per person, one would reasonably expect a meal that delivers both in flavor and service, neither of which were satisfactorily met on...

I recently had the pleasure of dining at Maestranza restaurant in Thessaloniki, and I must say, it was an exceptional experience from start to finish.

First and foremost, I would like to extend my gratitude to the staff for their attentiveness and warmth. From the waitstaff to the chef who personally visited our table to explain the dishes, their dedication to creating a welcoming and interactive dining experience truly stood out.

The atmosphere is incredibly cozy and inviting, with a relaxing ambiance complemented by a charming micro garden that adds a special touch to the setting. It’s the perfect place to unwind and enjoy a memorable meal.

As for the food—simply outstanding! Every dish, from the starters to the desserts, was a masterpiece of flavor and presentation. It was not just a meal but a culinary journey I highly recommend to anyone who appreciates fine dining.

Had been too busy lately to dine out and we thought we'd give a try to maestrantza for a change. Booked for two at the bar. The atmosphere is very welcoming. The aesthetics are pleasing, the light and noise levels comfortable and the music doesn't goes unnoticed, but this not due to its decibel levels. The chef is also the owner and he is ready to talk to customers and explain every question about the menu. The personnel is very nice and seem to be enjoying their work. The tastes are excellent. The menu is not particularly large but there is a variety of meat dishes as well as a couple of fish and seafood choices. The prices are acceptable and for the quality I would consider then even low, given the general price hike in the last few months. We definitely enjoyed it and would hallily return.
