Three little pigs is a restaurant in central Thessaloniki serving Greek cuisine updated with a modern twist
Pros: this restaurant is probably the best restaurant in all of Thessaloniki. I have tried eating elsewhere and have always found I wish I had gone back to Three little pigs instead. The pre starter freshly baked warm olive bread is arguably the best bread I have ever seen in a restaurant. As is the pre starter soup, the soup is amazing! Service is friendly, professional and there is free WiFi. The Greek carbonara perfectly tasty and the addition of a poached egg speaks volumes of the chef's sophistication. The portions are good, food tasty and the restaurant provides incredible value for money considering the tastiness and sophistication of the dishes served.
Cons: none really. Service is good! But some of the waiters sometime seem a bit too sombre. It would be nice if the waiters could smile a bit more. It would make the dining atmosphere a bit more friendly and welcoming.
All in all, an incredibly tasty restaurant serving tasty Greek food with modern French & other European influences offering very tasty food at great value for money. I highly recommend the Three little pigs restaurant. Arguably the best restaurant in all Thessaloniki. I would happily eat there (and have been) back again! Stop looking at other restaurants. Just eat here. You won't be disappointed! Keep up the good work Three little pigs...
Read moreWe went in without a reservation. One of the waiters was very happy to get us seated. We were given the menu and while I was looking at the menu items I wanted to know whether some of the dishes I wanted to order had onions. The waiter that seated us called the other waiter to answer our questions. And this where the problem started. I have no idea why the other waiter behaved like total ah. His attitude was like contempt. Did he think that I had no idea what I was ordering? It was pork pancetta, (PORK IN THE OVEN) which is very similar to pork belly. I was a bit confused. I was a chef for a very long time in Australia. I know how that thing is made and how long it takes. It is a superb dish covered with demi-glace , which also take more than 12 hours to make.
The pork dish was phenomenal, a little bit on a sweet side for my tase, but really really good.
Or maybe he thought "here comes another difficult customer"?
Again he was wrong! I knew exactly what kind of cuisine I was in for.
So please, don't create assumptions about the people you meet, especially if they are negative assumptions. Stay away from those, life is better that way.
This unnecessary attitude by the waiter really killed the...

Pros: the food is fantastic! My husband and I would argue is probably our favourite restaurant in the whole of Greece. The food is tasty, in good size portions and with fantastic value for money. My favourite starter is the Moussaka, and favourite main courses the mushroom risotto and the chicken/coq pastitsada. My husband's favourite dishes are the Greek carbonara, Kritharoto shrimp risotto and the mushroom risotto, chicken souvlaki or coq pastitsada.
If you were visiting for the first time, I would arguably (and possibly controversially) go for the Kritharoto followed by the coq pastitsada. Both dishes are very tasty, slightly off piste, and definitely a very fine and modern take on traditional Greek dishes.
Service is also fantastic. Mr Tassos & Mr Kyriacos are fantastic staff members. Friendly, welcoming and attentive. They make every visit to Three Little Pigs a real pleasure.
Keep up the good work Three Little Pigs! We will definitely be back! From your happy, loyal and satisfied repeat...
