If you're looking for somewhere to have lunch or dinner after visiting the monasteries of Meteora, look no further. This taverna has everything you need for an authentic Greek dining experience. The owner is friendly and caring, the chef knows his way around a kitchen and their homemade wine is excellent. We started with bouyiourdi, which was the best of our holiday. We continued with the souvlaki, perfectly grilled. The moussaka was divine. If you are thinking of a cabbage salad order the Politiki salad as suggested by the owner. Hit the spot. We finished with baklava. Juicy, nutty with a hint of cinnamon and just the right amount of sweetness. Perfection! How this taverna is not at the top of Tripadvaiser's list is beyond me. But it is definitely a hidden gem on their list of taverns...

The fried zucchini was also fabulous and the bread was grilled to perfection.
