Very delicious food including vegan options, which are not always easy to find on crete. The Vegan Club Sandwich was amazing and also had a very reasonable price. It's always nice to see restaurants offering vegan options with lower prices than the dishes with meat (which really is the way it should be). My partner also loved the homemade traditional Moussaka. We enjoyed the view of the lake and the really nice and friendly service. After ordering vegan food they gave us each a scoop of vegan chocolate ice cream to try for free - which was extremely delicious as well. I can really recommend this place to anyone! Wonderfully relaxing setting! We enjoyed the beautiful breeze while sitting on a swinging settee and enjoyed our desserts and coffee! This is our 2nd trip to Agios Nikolaos. We were so happy to come back and visit the owners and see that business was in full swing (no pun intended). They seriously have the best coffee drinks and fabulous pistachio ice cream and Sour Cherry/vanilla ice cream. My sons LOVE the waffles. It was great to see their menu had expanded from 2019. My girlfriend and me went there because we saw that they had vegan options. There were four different options to choose (burgers, pizza, salad or club sandwich). We had the club sandwich with fries and it was okay. Wasn't bad nor good. For 12€ it's a bit pricy but the location and atmosphere is very nice because it's located directly at the lake. The waiter was friendly too and noticed that we're vegan and showed us what the options are.
