The only bright side of this hotel is stunning view.
I don't recommend place to stay due to poor management service and many more... We booked room for three, but when we arrived manager was not prepared and started to make extra bed- see attached poor quality of folded sofa (this is freshly made bed by a manager- no one slept there yet), there were missing shampoo, shower gel, towel and glass for third person. The room was small, furniture old, unpleasant smell in the bathroom. The manager welcomed us stating that we did not pay even it was booked way in advance throughout booking.com. Very strange. We still need to check it once back at home. The room was small, and we double checked with the manager if that's the correct room we booked as booking.com website states separate bedroom and living room. It was just one room in reality. He said it is booking.com fault and we find it very bad to blame someone else. Someone needed to give this fault description to booking company at the first place. We were very dissatisfied. We did not hear a word of apology due to the mess with the room. The man was rushing doing extra bed etc while he was shouting over the phone next to us and when left the room. We obviously couldn't understand the language but it sounded a bit aggressive and that is not a welcome any guest would like to experience. Swimming pool was dirty, sunbeds very old and wobbly. If you expect someone to clean your room, you might be disappointed too- you need to email them to ask for cleaning service. A big joke!
We had a dinner in the hotel restaurant, service was lovely and the ladies amazing, however, food was so so. Not delicious, but okay.
Overall experience was very disappointing so we would recommend to stay away if you appreciate comfort in...
Read moreI would give 5 stars for a location. The place has indeed the spectacular view and location. But my critic is about pricing policy. I cannot say anything about the food there but price/quality ratio for cocktails is the disaster. We paid 12 euro for Pina Colada and this was a very bad one. We would not mind to give over 12 euro for a good coctail, but for this quality this is completely overpriced. For example in the La grotta bar (which is one of the most popular places on Corfu directly on the beach) we paid also 12 euro for a coctail and the quality was a way better. In Golden Fox they also have the most expensive coffee we tried on Corfu. Another comment: I would recommend the person who answers to the negative comments here (probably the same who reprimanded tourists for picking apricots from a tree across the street, claiming that this is a private property), be more polite and try to accept the critic. Otherwise it leaves the...
Read moreOverpriced. We got ice cream and ginger beer here. Ginger beer was clearly of the cheaper variety. Yes there's a nice view but I can't stand being ripped off.
(Reply to owner below) Firstly, calm down please, no need to shout. Yes we did check prices before ordering, but the low quality ginger beer only comes out after you order, right? It was only then did we realise that we're overpaying. Your ginger beer comes in small plastic bottles which look and feel cheap. Every other place we got ginger beer on the island it was a tall glass bottle which implies higher quality. Also, nowhere else on the island did we pay the prices you are charging.
Also, everywhere else we received ice and lime in the glass. In Golden Fox, we received neither. All of these factors combined to leave us feeling like ripped off tourists (which is fair enough, we are/were, but don't expect a glowing...
