Arthaus Cafe Wine Bar — Restaurant in Municipality of Central Corfu and Diapontia Islands

I had been searching for a special place like this all day. I had walked for miles in the rain, around the whole town, checking all the cafés I would find on the internet; and every single time I had ended feeling disappointed by their lack of charm, taste and welcomeness. And then I finally found this gem, I had a tea and cake in its beautiful room full of paintings, and it made my day. Lovely place nice interior good wine. Classic problems, understaffed and slightly ignorant staff. I counted about 18 tables to serve that were not fully occupied and most of them already served at the moment of our visit.

After about 20 minutes of waiting I started to think it is a self service but the waitress walked by looked at us with a strange face (as she acknowledged our presence but was not happy about another customers). We gave it another 15-20 minutes before standing up and leaving.

A very unique place in Corfù. The owner painted all the art inside the caffè, and his art is beautiful and the walls are completely covered in it!!! They do lunch which is fast and incredibly tasty, have a nice list of wines and other beverages, the service is very nice and they make sure you are 100% happy with everything...
