Mouragia — Restaurant in Municipality of Central Corfu and Diapontia Islands

I had the pleasure of dining at Mouragia restaurant in Corfu multiple times, and each visit left me thoroughly impressed. The culinary experience at Mouragia is nothing short of exceptional.

Great value for money and great quality traditional Greek food in Corfu town, not to be missed! We ordered Tzatziki, Greek salad, grilled sardines, fried fresh calamari and chicken souvlaki: it was all delicious, the meat tender and juicy, not dry. The portions very abundant! We soon realized that we might as well not have ordered Tzatziki as you get a generous portion of it when ordering the chicken souvlaki for instance.

We came here quite late and were pleasantly surprised to get a table and that the kitchen was still open, it was almost midnight.

Despite the late hour, the service was friendly and on no occasion did it seem that they wanted to rush us, which we appreciated. On the contrary, we got a complimentary bruschetta sauce to go with the bread as appetizer, and at the end we even got a complimentary dessert of quite a generous portion which was delicious.

The atmosphere is nice and traditional, I would say more suitable for larger groups or friends or families than romantic dinners.

During our recent visit to Corfu, we ended up at Mouragia on our first day while waiting to check in to our Airbnb. We loved it so much we came back twice during our stay!

The restaurant has a relaxed and welcoming atmosphere, and serves delicious, unpretentious home cooked Greek food. The waiters are warm and welcoming and we left feeling very full and very happy! Highly recommend visiting Mouragia for fantastic food in a beautiful location while in Corfu.

We ordered a number of different dishes during our visits and all were of great quality and well priced. Some of our favorites were: courgette fritters grilled vegetables Saganaki fried squid aflio e olio pasta

The baklava is absolutely to die for and probably some of the best we’ve had! The waiters also gave us complimentary greek yoghurt for dessert which was delicious!
