Starenio Bakery — Restaurant in Municipality of Central Corfu and Diapontia Islands

4.8 rating absolutely unreal. Chicken and spinach pie - some dough and an overly salty mixture inside. It is not with sharp crusts and unsuccessful. Baklava - you have to look for the nuts with a magnifying glass. Crust and sugar only I see that the owner reacted with some mocking emoticons to the review. I guess he reviewed my previous reviews, as he did with other customers who gave the bakery a low rating. But seeing that in the last month in Greece I gave only three evaluations, two of which were maximum and the third was low, he had nothing to comment on and remained with the emoticons. 😀. I must point out that Corfu is a great city, which also affects people's taste buds, and it is possible for something mediocre like a 3.5 to get a 4.8. In general, the quality of the establishments in the city is low. It's not my opinion, it's Google reviews. Average around 4 which is below average. I guess it is due to a certain amount of arrogance of the owners, having such natural features, they decide not to allocate the necessary...

For several years, now, I have tasted just about everything this sweet couple produces in this little bakery and have not been dissatisfied EVER!!! Savoury homemade pies for every taste (meat, chicken, mushroom, vegetarian, vegan) and homemade sweets (there's vegan stuff in this category, also, for those interested!) that let you taste a whole lot more than just sugar, which is what you taste in most other places! The street this bakery is on is in the centre of old Corfu town, yet very quiet and picturesque and the bakery has a few tables outside, so that people can enjoy their meal/cake/coffee there. 5 stars go also to the owners that will always serve with a smile and are happy to offer directions and answer any questions their customers have! All in all, a great place to visit...

I recently had the pleasure of visiting Starenio Bakery in Corfu, and it was a delightful experience! The bakery offers a huge variety of pastries and cakes, all of which are absolutely delicious. From flaky croissants to rich, decadent cakes, there’s something to satisfy every sweet tooth.

What truly stood out to me was the welcoming atmosphere. The staff was friendly and made me feel right at home as soon as I walked in. It’s the kind of place where you can relax, enjoy your treats, and maybe even strike up a conversation with the lovely people behind the counter.
