Lovely local place! Fresh and tasty food, and decent sized portions at reasonable prices. We just wanted a light lunch as we were not too hungry. Excellent Cretan salad (like greek salad but with the local Myzithra cheese instead of feta). They had fish off-menu (depending on what they have in!) - we missed out on the fried fish fillets which looked delicious, but got the small fried fish (similar to whitebait) which was really fresh and light. They also gave us some delicious Graviera cheese to try (another local cheese, a bit like Gruyère), as well as a sweet grape dessert.

Absolutely outstanding experience at ΡΩΞ Καφέ Ουζερί in Chania! From the moment we walked in, the owner greeted us with such genuine kindness that we immediately felt at home. The atmosphere was warm, relaxed, and full of that authentic charm you only find in truly local places.

The food was exceptional : generous portions, beautifully cooked dishes, and everything bursting with flavor. We were honestly amazed by the quality considering how affordable the prices were. We found this restaurant by chance, while walking towards the harbour to eat, but glad we did not reach there. We had our dinner in Rox, the food was great, the atmosphere and people are very hospitable. Mrs Rox is a very kind and good Lady And so is everybody working at this restaurant. The food was great and the portions were amazing for the price. I definitely recommend for all those who want to avoid tourist traps at the harbor. If you want to have a greek experience during your food, and know how a real greek eats, then you should definitely visit this place at least once. We stayed in Chania 4 days and we ate there, 3 out of 4 of them. Very glad...
