During our 2 day trip to Greece, the receptionist at our hotel recommended a steakhouse nearby. After some searching, we stumbled upon what we believed to be the suggested restaurant. However, the cafeteria-like atmosphere gave us second thoughts. Just as we were about to reconsider, we turned around and spotted another establishment across the street—Buffalo Prive.
At first, we weren’t sure if it was open. The curtains covered about three-quarters of the window, making it difficult to see inside. But upon closer inspection, we noticed the warm glow of lights. Stepping inside, we were immediately taken aback by the vibrant and welcoming décor. The mix of bold colors created a cozy yet lively ambiance, setting the perfect tone for an enjoyable evening.
The waiter who greeted us was exceptionally friendly, making us feel at home right away. The restaurant is uniquely divided into two sections: one dedicated to dining and the other designed as a small casino. We found this concept absolutely brilliant—it added an extra layer of excitement to the experience.
Then, we met the owner, Kostas. The moment I saw him, I couldn’t help but compare him to Demis Roussos—a truly charismatic man! He embodied the warm and hospitable spirit of Greece, making every guest feel special. His attentiveness and friendliness only added to the overall charm of the place.
Over the course of two evenings, we enjoyed some of the best steaks we’ve ever had. The quality of the meat was outstanding and cooked to perfection. It was a true delight, an experience that left a lasting impression on us.
Read moreEclectic and eccentric, stepping into Buffalo Prive is like stepping into another world. I almost always think of Alice and wonderland when I come here, there’s a juxtaposition with the decor that feels magical and adventurous all in one.
The food is fantastic. This is our second time, the first was date night. This time we bought friends which included 3 kids and a service dog. The accommodated our unique group with enthusiasm and care. We ordered too much and ate too much but that’s how a good time goes, right?
The owner was WONDERFUL and the staff was A+. There’s something to be said about people who care about the relationships as much as they care about the exchange of money, it truly made the experience worth more than 5 stars Google gives me.
The tomahawk was super juice and cooked perfectly. The chicken came with delicious truffle mash and all the appetizers were devoured in moments but I think the steak salad was my favorite and I usually begrudgingly eat my greens. We ordered so much food and dessert but no amount of words will paint the picture. Just get in the car and go - you’ve got to try it for yourself.
The only thing I think this place does wrong is their prices. Frankly it’s too cheap for the quality, the service and atmosphere. I would...
Read moreVery interesting decor, you might even call it a bit much, but it's quite a sight. Loved the concept with famous meat cuts from all over the world. Their green salad was very good, and the potato mash with truffle oil that came with the salmon another highlight. The Australian wagyu was cooked just right (at medium rare), although my steak had a bit more sinew/fat at the edge than I expect from this cut. I mean, it could just be my piece, and it was still delicious skipping those parts. What could be improved I think is what comes with the meat, the roast potatoes were just ok, and there was barbeque sauce provided which I found strange. I am not sure who would put BBQ on wagyu, maybe Americans? :) In any case, a good experience overall, it's recommended. I'll try some different cuts next time. Edit: My second visit was even better, the wagyu was excellent and I loved the special salad. Couldn't fault the beef tartare and pork tomahawk either (the latter is quite large). The service was great, very well-paced (and rather amusing). For all that I am upgrading to the...
