We wanted something else than traditional Greek food and ended up at Red Panda, the shop is basically what we say in Norwegian a “hole in the wall” meaning that there is just the shop inside and all seating is outside.
We loved sitting in the park, enjoying the breeze, life and sounds of Heraklion!
The service was fantastic, owner was super cool and made us feel welcomed and cared for us, he even warned us that we had ordered a-lot off food to inform us 🙏
The food was AMAZING, I have never been baffled like this before. I eat sushi about 50 times a year with Norwegian salmon, but this was even better!
The Bao was delicious, the maki from the signature menue had great taste and was good size pieces! Combine this with happy hour on the drinks, and you get a place that I personally would strongly recommend for small and big parties that does not care for the fine dinning but foor great food experience with a authentic twist.
110% would bring the whole place with me back home if it was possible, maybe I will have to travel back here just for this.

Although it’s a tech-a-way style place with no formal table service, everyone inside was extremely kind, welcoming, and eager to help. Special thanks to Chef Iakovos, who was incredibly helpful, informative, and attentive to all our requests — he truly made the experience stand out.
There are also outdoor tables available, so you can enjoy your food right there in the beautiful square.
Highly recommended if you’re in Heraklion and craving quality Asian food with top-notch hospitality. We’ll definitely be...

The soup was well-seasoned and good in quality and quantity! The location is nice, as a part of lively square with cafes, restaurants and a church.
The place doesn’t have tables inside, the only downside to that is that there were quite a lot of stray cats around that don’t respect personal space too much, and were impossible to scare off. Also, the terrace is a bit too dim-lit, some more lighting would’ve been welcome. But nothing major, 5...
