We went twice to this place: first, in May 2023 and the second time in June 2024. Both experiences were disappointment. And I am wondering why we tried this place the second time. The food was not bad in comparison to other restaurants of this kind, but the service was disappointment both times. Border rude, disinterested in the customer, on occasion even arrogant (we were served by owner, and two other people).... it felt as if they were doing us a favor for feeding us. Yes, the right word would be feeding and not dining. The second time we discovered that they are even dishonest. On our second visit we had a friend who understood and could read Greek. Not only that they did not bring the drinks that we ordered. Upon receiving the bill, we told them that we may have been overcharged. We got the money back immediately without the arguments (interesting sign) without even apologies or a lie that it was a "misunderstanding". Looked really lovely, very busy but we got a table for 2. Our final night in Paleochora and up to this point we have enjoyed the best Greek food. The young waiters were not particularly warm or inviting and it only got worse throughout the dinner. The food was really slow to arrive, assuming the food was being cooked and not pre made, but when the Mousakka arrived it was in no way freshly cooked, dry and tasteless, I have genuinely cooked this better myself!
