I can appreciate many businesses that deserve it and are worth it, but this one is not one of them. Of course, I believe in positive reviews, but what I experienced with my family during a recent visit is something I have never experienced since I started traveling around Greece.
The beach and sun loungers were well maintained, absolutely no problem. The sign said "Free sun loungers," so we ordered drinks worth a total of 15 euros. At lunchtime (about 2hrs relax), we decided to go to another restaurant for lunch, which triggered a really unpleasant reaction from one of the employees of this establishment. We were told that we had to eat at their restaurant and not go anywhere else, otherwise we would have to pay 10 euros for each sun lounger. However, in the 21st century, no one will dictate to us what we should and should not do. I told the employees the same thing I am writing here and said that we would go for lunch wherever we saw fit and, given that we wanted to spend the whole day with them, I said that we would certainly have something to eat from them later.
The result? 40 euros for the sun loungers + 15 euros for refreshments, we packed our things and left. A very hostile atmosphere. Another employee told me that it is difficult to be at work every day, but we all go to work.
The employee could have handled the whole situation in a friendly manner, but instead he raised his voice and was really unpleasant.
The argument that business is difficult here is not acceptable to me. If we did something they didn't like, they could have simply handled it differently. All we know is that we will never come back to this...
Read moreI recently visited this beachfront restaurant and unfortunately had an unpleasant experience. The shrimp dish we ordered had a noticeably bad odor, which we felt was important to bring to the attention of the staff. However, when we attempted to discuss this with the cashier, her response was rude and unprofessional. She dismissed our concerns and made inappropriate comments, questioning my language skills (this conversation was made completely in English) and making personal insults (exactly like: “the only thing smells bad is you and you smell like human dirt” (not this politely of course!). This behavior was unexpected and unacceptable.
Additionally, the fish we ordered was overcooked and burnt, making it difficult to enjoy despite being quite hungry. The location of the restaurant is attractive, but given the poor quality of the food and the disrespectful service at the cashier desk, I cannot recommend this establishment.
And as an answer: It is very upsetting to see even more disrespect and shame when we at least expected a small apology. Of course, in an order for three people, with approximately 1.5 pieces per person, the entire order would naturally be consumed. It's our most natural right to express dissatisfaction with a dish that didn't meet our expectations. When we saw that the bill was 79 euros, we immediately paid with our credit card. We absolutely did not ask for any discount (as the cashier claims). Unfortunately, this is nothing but covering up failure with lies. This level of dishonesty and disrespect is...
Read moreThe staf was nice to us att the begining but then when we got other beer than ordered instead of solving it politely the guy jus got angry, spilled the beer and made unpleasant comments about our nationality. He also said not to visit this place any more. So we won't and don't recommend anyone else to do it either. There's plenty of other bars around.
Added 4 August I stand by my recension above. After you respocne I just wanted to add: It was just one beer and before I had a chance to accept it, which I probably would, the staff spilled it on to the sand. I acted calmly. And yes, you made a comment about my nationality. This just shows that there's no room for discussion with...
