The Hero We Deserved After the Felarakia Fiasco

After being thoroughly betrayed by another restaurant-that-shall-not-be-named (ahem Felarakia), we stumbled into Plaza Restaurant like culinary refugees — and what a rescue it was.

From the very first bite, it was clear: this is the real deal. Authentic, fresh, and full of flavor, the food at Plaza tastes like it was prepared by someone’s Greek grandmother who cooks with olive oil, soul, and the wisdom of centuries.

We ended up coming back every single day — not out of convenience, but out of complete and total addiction. Every dish was a hit. The ingredients are fresh, the flavors honest, and the portions generous without being overwhelming. It doesn’t try too hard — it doesn’t need to. It’s just genuinely good.

The staff? Warm. The vibe? Relaxed. The prices? Fair. And most importantly: they actually have the food that’s on the menu

I give my opinion based on my personal experiences. I have been in a lot of places specially in Italy, my country of origin. So I always compare the experience with my background.

I took the swordfish, it was a little chewy and a little raw in the middle, it's not easy to cook it, I know. It was grilled and very homemade preparation, as many dishes in the whole island.

A further advise, cut the menù, how you can prepare good a variety of different type of dishes? Small menù with 4-5 dishes tipical of Greece and 4-5 of fresh fish and stop. Introduce the dish of the day with fresh stuff. Be particular and unique with a small set of dishes.

I recently had the pleasure of dining at Plaza Beach Kos and I can't recommend it highly enough. From the moment we walked in, the staff were incredibly friendly and attentive, making us feel right at home.

The highlight of our evening was the way the restaurant went above and beyond to celebrate my sister’s birthday. At our request, they arranged for a delicious birthday cake that wasn't even on the menu. To top it off, they surprised the birthday girl with a complimentary glass of Prosecco, which made the celebration even more special.

The food was absolutely fantastic, with every dish bursting with authentic Greek flavors.
