Baltic Beach Club — Restaurant in Municipality of Kos

BIG mistake! Dirty place, rude and aggressive manager. Our flight was at 8pm so we had the day to kill until then. We couldn’t get chair at Coco’s (next door) as it was full.. can now see why, as it was lovely. There were plenty of seats at Baltic. We said fine it’s for a few hours we can have a few drinks and some lunch. So we arrived at around 12 and ordered 2 coke zeros and a large bottle of water. I fell asleep and woke up to a man shouting at me “HELLO HELLO WHERE YOU FROM” I was shocked and responded “Ireland”.. this is when the slurs and shouting began. “YOU HAVE TO SPEND €15 each YOU CANT LIE HERE ALL DAY AND PAY €3!!!” (It was actually €9 but not surprised his math wasn’t good)…. Bearing in mind our flight was not till 8pm we of course had to eat something. It was lunch on the button when he came down shouting at me. My boyfriend then woke up with a fright couldn’t understand what was going on. Feeling extremely uncomfortable and threatened by the man’s behaviour we decided we had to leave ASAP. The only good thing to come out of this was that he didn’t give us enough time to order food as when we were leaving we saw the food that was being served fresh from the freezer you wouldn’t serve your cat. Also the beds are dirty and the area around the beds had old tissues cigarette butts and broken plastic cups. Coco’s had a bed free up and we went there instead, had a great lunch. Don’t waste your money and time...

don’t go here, if you want a nice atmosphere, vibe, care about your wallet and want good food.

We came here as we already went twice to the Kouros beach club and Coco’s beach club to try something new. We were told that we get free sunbeds, just as in Coco’s and Kouros but upon arrival at the place we were going to stay they told us that we both had to spend 15€ p.p. We were a bit disappointed that they couldn’t tell that earlier but we still decided to try this place out.

We first went on to take a swim and when we went back they kept on telling is to spend 15€, they asked multiple times if we were aware that we have to spend 15€ which was overall pretty annoying.

We decided to order some water and grilled eggplant for 8€ which tasted good. The eggplant was tasty and well done. Not a lot but it was reasonable.

Then we decided to order dinner but we only took a few bites and payed to get out. The food was salty and genuinely bad. It wasn’t bland but it was just untasty and we were scared to finish it as we were planning on doing a boat trip and we really didn’t want to get sick from it… It was not worth it we just threw away our money. So please don’t go here to eat dinner. Go to coco’s or kouros. There is not minimum spend there and the gyros from kouros is very taste, just like the fried vegetables...

I wouldn’t go back here if somebody paid me.

The boss - a 60 year old man wearing nothing but tight speedos (which wasn’t appealing whilst i was trying to eat) - was rude, creepy and very strange. He basically forced us to eat at their restaurant so we ordered food which was chewy and terrible. We’ve eaten in the beach bars next to it which had lovely food and much friendlier staff, so will definitely not be returning to Baltic.

Not only this, he kept staring at my daughter who felt uncomfortable when wearing a bikini, which was disgusting considering his age. Clearly has little respect for women and an air of arrogance … God knows why.

After our food we saw the boss shouting at a group on the beach. He was being very rude and intimidating, targeting his sexist slurs at the women and their children. Never seen such a horrendous business owner - i’m shocked he’s still in business! Disgusting behaviour towards his customers, and overall a creepy/dodgy man. Felt sorry for his staff who had to apologise for his bad behaviour… we left a tip because we felt bad for them, but it no doubt went straight into his pocket.

Let this be a warning to all - AVOID at all costs. Sexist, vile owner who spoilt the last day...
