Mesogios — Restaurant in Municipality of Kos

The food is exceptional, the service is impecable and the view overlooking the harbour with a mojito is to die for. When they make this, you see them pluck the mint from the decorative but functional herb garden which adds to the ambience and flavour.

We went to many of the restaurants around the island and this place made the others look like cheap takeaway.

We have eaten grilled octopus, toasted honey feta phyllo's (a simple must!), mixed gyros, moussaka just like their mum still makes! Yes she has had practice but my god is it good! And not least of all a t-bone steak that rivals Gordon's.

For an unforgettable experience of traditional Greek food with a brilliant atmosphere and the best view on the island, overlooking the island look no further than mesgios.

Just remember to order that mojito and feta honey parcel and you can thank me later.

We stayed in Kos town and ate at various restaurants. Mesogios was the one that impressed us the most - so much that we visited twice in one week. Excellent quality and tasty dishes, well presented, great value for money too. This restaurant has a prime position - as do many opposite the marina - yet this is the one which values service and food quality the most in my opinion. Others in the area seem determined to get as many customers seated, fed and gone as quickly as possible yet do not deliver on service or food quality. Meosgios deserves a 5 star review. Chose this restaurant as it seemed to be the best reviewed on the waterfront. It had traditional Greek decor and the welcome host on the entrance was friendly and not too pushy. We were directed to a suitable table given we had our baby in a pram.

I ordered a mixed platter of various meat options which were all delicious and my wife had an excellent gyros. She enjoyed her Chardonnay and my Mythos beer came with a chilled glass.
