Also i tried tomato soup "velute" although it wasnt a fresh one they mixed water with canned tomato paste apparently thats why it was "velute"as for the main dishes my girlfriend had the mix gyros plate and i had the special steak plate chicken gyros was close to raw the pita bread soaked In oil as for the steak i think at this tavern is more the show off rather its food, small portion i mean seriously for a steak it was tiny and like a Rubber the garniture soaked In vinegar for some reason plus it came with a wannabe Pepper sause it wasnt really a Pepper sause the mixed mayo and ketcup and added Pepper inside... We dined here recently and were unfortunately left very underwhelmed. We started with the saganaki cheese, which was a huge letdown. It clearly wasn’t fresh – rubbery in texture and turned cold almost instantly, with barely any coating. The Greek salad was average at best, lacking any dressing, which made it quite dry.
For mains, we ordered the pork gyros (open plate), but the pork was far too fatty and the pita breads were soggy, which made the dish quite unpleasant. When I politely mentioned to the waiter that the saganaki was rubbery, he dismissed the feedback entirely, saying, “Ours is the best of the best.” There was no apology or willingness to acknowledge the concern, which came off as rude and unprofessional.

Read moreApril 1 2025 My wife and I ordered a platter for two, and a chicken souvlaki for pickup. Upon sitting to our table, I began to eat my salad, when I noticed it was only half full, thought nothing of it, until I saw my wife's salad. her salad was full to the top, covered with cheese and a olive on top, and I began digging for my olive as I always do, and guess what I found? I found a olive pit! that tells me someone had eaten part of that salad. Needless to say I became sick to my stomach. This is not good enough, thinking I could get sick from this salad. You should eat at some other place. whom ever eat part of that salad, should be fired and Socrates should be responsible, no one should be putting half eaten food back in the fridge. I am 74 years old, and not looking for a free meal. This the last time we will eat at this place. This the third complaint I have written, and the last, please be careful, stay healthy. We picked up the order at 5pm on...
