Gelateria Carino — Restaurant in Municipality of Kos

We visited this ice cream shop and unfortunately, it was a very disappointing experience. The staff was unfriendly and unprofessional. The overall appearance of the place did not give the impression of proper hygiene standards for handling food.

My son ordered a cone with two scoops. The employee who served us clearly had no experience or patience. She simply slapped the scoops onto the cone, which immediately fell off and landed on the floor inside the shop. Instead of offering to replace the ice cream, (we paid 5eur for this) she just laughed at us.

We visited "Carino" at the port of Kos with my group of five friends, and we were all impressed! The ice cream was incredibly refreshing and full of flavor, with unique tastes you don’t easily find elsewhere. Especially the couple in our group (the two wearing black t-shirts and black pants in the photo) enjoyed it even more and kept saying how much they loved it. Best REAL ice cream on the Island!! After seeing so many ice cream places with such unnatural colored products I finally found Gelateria Carino. This place is at the level of some of the best in Italy. In fact the Gelataio uses only natural products and that is quality you can taste. I don’t remember how Much I paid but I did not find it excessive considering the quality and the fact you are on a remote island. Keep up the good work!
