I was very hungry, I didn't have time to eat or drink coffee all day, I had a very intense day today. During the break, around 3pm I decided to eat pad thai, I had a huge craving for pasta, so I arrived a little after 3pm to Nama, but it turned out that the restaurant opens at 4pm. So I went for a walk around the city. I could have eaten at any other restaurant…. I got back from the walk before 4pm, and I decided to wait. 4pm struck, there was no one there, I thought, okay, maybe in Greek we just have to wait a bit longer. At 4:35pm someone appeared, as it turned out later it was the OWNER and started preparing tables. I waited patiently guessing that the opening was at 5pm. 5pm struck, and no one approached me. A few minutes after 5pm I went up to ask why no one was coming to me, that I had been sitting here and waiting for over an hour, that I was already cold and hungry. The alleged OWNER just said "so what?"... I think I misheard. Long story short the GENTLEMAN told me that if I don't like it, goodbye... I admit that I have never encountered such treatment. I do not recommend this place. The boss is simply a jerk and a boor, I would not pay extra for his business if respect is...

It's a mix of japanese- chinese and italian food, they even give you two menus, which is not a good sign (didn't realise until I arrived there). The rolls were blunt and I can only suspect there was a bit of eel in the eel rolls I ordered but cannot be sure as I had forgotten my magnifying glass at home. if you are on a Greek island, a 10-11 euro small size dish should contain a fair amount of fish. I understand that eel might be difficult to find/expensive but then don't offer it. I didn't say anything as I don't feel it's my job - whoever is responsible for the dishes going out of the kitchen should have seen it. It's a pity to have such a location and treat it like this- it needs a vision, not a huge mixed menu with endless options, that leads to nothing. The waiters were very polite...
Read moreThe restaurant is great. The food is excellent and the atmosphere is very pleasant. The service is very friendly. The staff are attentive and available to help you. I love the skillfully made sushi. They are wonderful. Chinese and Japanese cuisine definitely have a place in Kos, and it is called Nama. Not to mention that the location of the restaurant is wonderful. You will be eating and contemplating the blue sea of Kos, savoring a chilled white wine. What a life! The restaurant...
