Yesterday, I had the pleasure of dining at Buddha-Bar Beach Mykonos, and it was an experience that exceeded all expectations. Nestled above the private beach of Santa Marina, the venue offers breathtaking views of the Aegean Sea, setting the perfect backdrop for an evening of culinary delight and vibrant entertainment.
Ambiance and Atmosphere
The moment you step into Buddha-Bar Beach, you are enveloped in an atmosphere that is both exotic and sophisticated. The elegant decor, characterized by a fusion of Eastern and Mediterranean influences, instantly transports you to a world of luxury and serenity. As the sun sets, the venue transforms into a lively hotspot with the soulful beats of the resident DJ, creating an energetic yet refined vibe.
Culinary Delights
The food at Buddha-Bar Beach is nothing short of extraordinary. The menu features a unique blend of Mediterranean and Greek fusion cuisine, expertly combined with Buddha-Bar’s signature Asian dishes. We started with the Buddha-Bar Beach Signature Sushi Rolls, which were fresh and meticulously crafted. The crispy calamari, perfectly seasoned and cooked to perfection, was another highlight. For the main course, the Wagyu beef fillet was succulent and flavorful, showcasing the chef’s mastery over blending East and West culinary traditions.
Entertainment
What truly set the evening apart was the exceptional entertainment. The combination of a live violinist performing alongside a DJ created an enchanting and dynamic musical experience. The violinist’s melodies added a classical touch that harmonized beautifully with the modern beats of the DJ, captivating the audience and enhancing the overall dining experience. It was a unique and mesmerizing performance that highlighted the creativity and innovation Buddha-Bar Beach is known for.
Service
The service was impeccable from start to finish. The staff were attentive, knowledgeable, and went out of their way to ensure that every aspect of our dining experience was perfect. Their recommendations were spot-on, and their warm hospitality made us feel...
Read moreThe view was great, as the pictures show, since the restaurant is built along sort of the cliff. But not a spot for sunset vie since the sun is blocked naturally.
The cocktail list will be served solely first without the menu, and indeed a good wine list follows. Still, it does not help when a person is thirsty and hungry. I got the white natural number 1, bear with me if the name is not perfectly correct. It is with bergamot oil infused thing At Vodka base with some fresh juice. The Garnish is beautiful with three slice Apples in a small glass.
Food wise, it is Asian fusion. I am a 34 Taiwanese lady who lived in Japan six years and singapore five years, and I am totally not impressed by the food. I had the thai spicy tuna inside- out roll. This one I have no judgement call because I am fully aware the concept of California roll to Japanese. I like the fish and shrimp in the Tom Yan soup. :) my highlight of the dinner, but the afterward sea phad thai is just... so so.
I am aware that Buddha Bar is the founder of the Asian Fushion food with great music in fine dining. You can approach DJ for further music details if you enjoy the mixed in the house music there.
Please arrange your transportation ahead before arrival. Buddha Bar will not help hire taxi, as Buddha Bar staff claims it is the hotel central reception's work. It turned out to be an hour booked- taxi- never-show waiting, and in the end my Friend and I called our own hotel for pick up. It is not Buddha bar's fault, but it made my night a disaster in the end. I gave three stars because of the failure of Post sales customer care, which is an important factor for me in visiting fine...
Read moreThis place is beautiful. It feels very luxurious and plush. Beautiful setting looking out to sea. When we were there several yachts moored which just added to the five star feel. The restaurant itself is within a larger resort which we didn’t visit. You needed a reservation for the taxi to say to the guards at the gates to even drive into the resort. We booked for dinner, a group of four girls. We had to pay a hefty deposit beforehand of €80 per person in advance to secure the table but I guess this is a very exclusive place so if they can they will. The food was really good in general, however I got a noddles dish (the Buddha beach noodles) and they weren’t outstanding but we got a lot of starters including sushi which I have to say was very very good. The calamari was amazing!!The prices are high here but that is to be expected as this is one of the most highly recommended and sought after spots for dinner / drinks on the island. The music was great, very fun and disco with some good old tunes. They were also really down to earth and there was a large hen party there who were having lots of fun. Some of the places in Mykonos can be quite snobby eg Scorpios but I found this place was really easy going and the service was great and friendly and kind. Highly recommend, expensive but fun, friendly and great...
