TLDR: Restaurant is beautiful, food is not so good at all (at least the one we picked)
Full review:
The restaurant is ideally located in the heart of Downtown Mykonos, the place looks great.
I invited my wife there and we got a table on the exterior of the restaurant. The staff brought us the drinks menu first, without the food menu. As we chose not to order any drinks/ cocktail to start, the staff swapped our drink menu for food menu. One piece of advice: some people like to decide what they will eat to chose their drinks accordingly (wine for exemple). So maybe don’t take the drink menu back before we can even take a look at what’s for dinner. But anyway…
We shared a grilled Octopus as a starter and my wife picked a Salmon while I chose the lobster ravioli.
Let’s start with the octopus. This might have been the worst piece of octopus I had in my entire life. And this is no exaggeration. The octopus has been grilled to death with absolutely no spices whatsoever or anything else that could add taste. It was served with a sort of purée that was good however, so there’s that. We still couldn’t eat it though.
Then for the main dishes, my wife ordered her salmon Well Done as she is pregnant and eating a fish anything under than well done could be dangerous. Of course the fish came undercooked. It also came with an aioli that was made with raw egg that was spread all over the salmon. When we asked the waitress if we could have a salmon without aioli she simply recommended that we scrapped it and put it on the side. My wife barely ate her fish as risking to eat raw egg in her condition wasn’t the best idea.
My lobster ravioli was quite good to be honest. Not much to eat as it was exactly 7 ravioli but it was good nonetheless.
The overall experience was really underwhelming. The place looks great and it’s a shame the food was nowhere near the quality expected for this kind of place. I’m sure a lot of food on the menu is excellent as I see ton of other reviews that loved it, but I guess we just had bad...
Read moreHorrible grifty experience here left us feeling taken advantage of. For one they cracked a new bottle of water and topped off our glasses to make them overly full, seemingly harmless but if you are reading this review you likely are traveling Europe and know you have to pay for water, go figure this place charges like 10 euro per bottle #eyeroll. Then they were pouring the bottle to another table, then ended up charging us for 3 bottles of water? Just slimy behavior in my opinion, also that this is a “nicer” restaurant, you hate to see it.
Then I had the “Passion” drink and immediately got a crazy stomach ache, which I never get, my stomach is generally pretty caste iron. I took a break from drinking and then tried again and had the same thing. It messed me up good, I’ll spare most of the details but, I had to run to the restroom. I came back feeling a little better but was def not touching the drink again. I told the waitress and she asked if I would like something else, and she took the drink away. When we got our bill they kept that drink on there even though we sent it back. They said they only remove it if something is wrong with the drink. To which I said “something is clearly wrong with it, it made my stomach cramp immediately” she countered with, “this is one of our best selling drinks so there is nothing wrong with it”. #What?? Basically we had to pay or be caught in a game of chicken.
I would not go to this place, not because I caught an unlucky drink there, but because they don’t care about your experience. All...
Read moreTerrible expirience! I ordered a soup and I am lactose intolerant ( they never asked me for allergies or anything) when the “soup” arrived it was a small cup of milk. So I explained to our waitress in a very polite way ( a good looking girl with a long ponytail) that I am allergic to milk and if she can please change the dish and I will prefer something else. This lady got super AGRESSIVE AND NASTY to me, she literally yelled at me and raise her voice in a horrible way telling me that this is my fault and I should have told them that I’m allergic to milk (in my country a soup doesn’t have milk , soup Is made with broth and also the waitress should have asked if I have any allergies before they serve). She was telling me in a very agreesive behavior that now I have to pay for it. So after a big fight she took the “soup” and said is ok for this time. This people should be very careful with who they hire for a job and the way there workers treat a very good client like me. Off course I didn’t leave any tip and I would never come back! I go to Mykonos every year and there are many restaurants with good service and manners. I do not recommend this...
