Lotus Resto Bar — Restaurant in Municipality of Mykonos

First I want to point out I am from the US, my first day in Greece I learned that meals are treated differently, it's not a quick in/out experience (unless you go somewhere that specifies take away) and that is cool, no worries.

Now for the reciew of Lotus Resto: The food was phenomenal, it was one stop of many that evening in Mykonos. I enjoyed the Pizoto (rissoto w/ black truffle and truffle oil, topped w/parmesan flakes) it was rich and full of flavor, the risotto was prepared perfect, just enough toothiness but tender. The drink was Think Spicy (mezcal tequila w/grapefruit juice & spicy rim) it too was delicious, light and refreshing w/ just a tiny spice kick, not overwhelming (to me) and I wish I had gotten another. The atmosphere was perfect, music at just the right volume, cozy, and chic.

Now, why I gave it 3 stars, at first arrival the hostess promptly sat me and I was attended to, being 1 person I didn't feel out of place amongst couples, the drink arrived in a timely manner, as did the food, however, during the time I waited for my food one couple next to me received their check and left, another sat down and ordered drinks. My food arrived, I finished my drink about halfway through my dish, I was eating slowly and savoring, per Greece custom I had learned, about 5 min later I had finished my risotto and a waitress removed my dish, I asked for another drink...25 min pass by, nobody came to check on me. I attempted to grab the attention of another waitress, I was either ignored or they didn't hear me (I'm from the states I'm kind of loud.) Per the first of my post I learned the custom of meals and if I had a drink I would somewhat understand not being promptly attended to, but I was alone and drink less. I ended up walking to the host stand and asking for my check, took another 7 min, paid and left.

Dining at Lotos was an absolute highlight of our trip. From the moment we walked in, we were greeted with a warm smile and impeccable service from Panos and his wonderful team. They truly elevate the whole experience with their professionalism, kindness, and genuine passion for hospitality. The food? Simply unforgettable. We tried the best moussaka we have ever had, a perfectly cooked ribeye steak that melted in the mouth, and a rich, flavorful Black Angus sausage that left us speechless. Every bite was a reminder of how good authentic cuisine can be when prepared with love and top-quality ingredients. The ambience is just as impressive – stylish yet cozy, with an atmosphere that makes you want to stay for hours. Everything about Lotos is carefully thought out, from the beautiful setting to the flawless service and outstanding flavors. An unforgettable dining experience at Lotus Mykonos! From the moment we arrived, everything was flawless ..the food was absolutely mouthwatering, and the service was truly exceptional.

A special shoutout to Panos, who was the highlight of our evening. He was incredibly warm, attentive, and so well-versed with the menu. His recommendations were spot-on — we would’ve never experienced the best of Lotus without him! He guided us through the dishes with such passion and knowledge, and everything he suggested turned out to be a hit.

We tried the truffle pasta (rich and decadent), the foie gras burger (wonderful fusion of flavors), and the baked king crab and honestly, that dish alone is reason enough to return. The Greek salad was also delightfully fresh and full of flavor.

The entire staff was lovely and attentive, but Panos truly made our night. His energy, professionalism, and charm elevated the experience from great to unforgettable.
