We had an amazing meal at Mando in old town! We were a little dubious at first and weren’t sure whether to sit (we had pre booked weeks ago) but we are SO glad we did! We were served by Francesca and she was absolutely lovely. She was so attentive, informative and smiley! The food was incredible!! It is presented exactly how they show on their Instagram. We had the zucchini fritters and the feta in pastry to start - the feta was the best we’d had on the island (and we’ve had the feta at 180 sunset, Numi, Zuma etc) and this one was by far the best! For mains, we had the sea bass risotto and the beef short rib pasta, both were absolutely amazing, 10/10 no notes! The sea bass risotto was a big portion and we definitely could have shared it, so my fiancé didn’t finish his but it was amazing. I polished off my beef short rib pasta regardless because I couldn’t stand to leave any behind! Would definitely re-visit. This is a great place for dinner if you’re planning on mooching in old town/Little Venice for the evening, the atmosphere is lovely with the other restaurants around and other shoppers mooching by. We happened upon this place while meandering through the side streets away from the cruise port and are so glad we did. Each member of the staff we met was wonderful. So friendly and wanting to make sure our meal was good. We started with the Tarama, which was so good we dipped our grilled octopus in it when we ran out of bread. The grilled octopus starter was incredibly flavorful, tender and expertly cooked. The grilled calamari entree was also full of flavor and perfectly grilled. The green salad that came with the calamari looked like a seaweed salad but didn't taste like it. When we asked one of our servers what it was she explained it was a green local to Greece. Whatever it was, it was delicious. We capped off our meal with a yummy drink they call the Husband Maker offered to us by one of our servers. I am an American. This is the best restaurant in the islands I’ve traveled in Greece. If you want a cocktail bar to pregame this is your spot. If you want to get food breakfast lunch or dinner this is your spot. As a tourist I’ve never felt more comfortable. Jessica’s and Alexi are the owners and their love story will keep you here by itself. Let alone they should be world famous mixologists, the best cocktails I’ve had in Europe. I came here this morning for the steak and eggs and espresso, amazing. I brought my 12 friends back for small plate dinners and cocktails, no one left disappointed. I consider myself a foodie.
