Disappointing customer experience at [SOUVLA restaurant in agioi apostoloi Mykonos]

We visited [Souvla] based on a local's recommendation, excited to try their famous Greek gyros. However, our experience was marred by poor customer service and discrimination on the 27 April 2025 at 15:48.

Upon arrival, the young male waiter informed us that ordering gyros would mean we had to Sit outside the restaurant which we found alarming. We paid for our meals and sat outside on a hot day.The waiter hander our meals at the outside table were we were sitting but just as we started eating, the waiter told us we couldn't eat there and had to move further out into the sun .

What made this worse was that the inside seating area was empty, while outside, there were others without food. We felt discriminated against, possibly due to being foreigners and being of colour. People should not be treated like this in our current lifestyle.

We left without finishing our meals, disappointed by the lack of consideration. The waiter's indifference to our departure was the final straw.

Unfortunately, our experience was subpar, and we wouldn't recommend this restaurant to others. Better options are available in the area and hope this post helps others when choosing a place to eat and have the best customer services.

Your response doesn't address the core issue – poor customer service. We were told one thing when ordering and then another when eating, which I may add that we sat outside when starting eating. This inconsistency led to frustration and still. As the Owner you never did apologise as part of curiosity in your reply which speaks volumes.

Today we when to this place because was recommend. We go early and they said we can take away because if we stay in a table another people want to go and sit, in 20 minutes they will open, we said okay we take away and Eat it in from of the parking, after that I ask enter to the bathroom and got wrong about where is and the waiter start to laugh at my face, but that kind of laugh like bullying 🤣 my husband ask to the another one with short hair if he can use the bathroom and the guy when my husband come out said something rude. I don’t know if this people are racist or lazy, But I think that not was cool, if you are tired of your job Quick. This place is a real diamond in the rough! We just wanted to pop in for a quick drink, but luckily we decided to eat something as well. We were greeted by Tolis as we entered and he looked after us during our visit. ( Thanks again! Top man!🤝) A bit of grilled halloumi to start with... very nice quality and perfectly grilled. Already a good start, but the main course blew my mind away!!!!! The Kontosouvli chicken was absolutely fantastic!!!! Honestly the best chicken I ever had! Soft, juicy, tasty, lovely seasoning!
