Read moreOn the basis of other Google reviews my wife and I chose to eat here, passing many nicer looking restaurants. We shared a garlic bread, which consisted of three small pieces of white sliced bread, perhaps bought from the local supermarket, topped with garlic butter and herbs. For the mains, my partner had salmon penne, which she said was 'alright' although they'd not skinned the salmon before cutting it into small pieces and putting it into the sauce - so she had the fiddly task of skinning each small piece. When she asked for parmesan cheese the owner, who was as a curmudgeonly old bloke, came over and informed us that 'we' don't have cheese on a fish dish. I was on the verge of pointing out that it wasn't him eating it, when the cheese arrived. I ordered lamb cleftiko, which came off the bone in a smallish ceramic dish with chunks of potato and aubergine. It was tasty but not cooked for long enough, as it wasn't as tender as it could have been. I asked the owner why it was served off the bone and he replied that 'some served it on the bone and some off the bone.' Well, maybe but I've eaten cleftiko in scores of tavernas all over the islands and that's the first time I've been served it off the bone. The only reason I can think of why they would go to the effort of taking the meat off the bone themselves is to make it go further. So all in all very disappointed, especially as we'd walked a round trip of...

A very nice dining room with tables right at the front so you can watch the world go by, or you can go deeper in, so it’s quite a large place. The service was to the point, not rude, not over done, they take your order and that’s it. Our starter took a while but was worth it, freshly made and very tasty. The main course followed quite quickly and was very very good. We had a shared starter, two mains and a half litre of the house red, which was ok. The bill was just short of 50 euros, not bad. There are so many restaurants on this stretch of road, but this one is excellent. You get good food, fast efficient service at a reasonable price. Well...
