The food and location of Cesar Meze Bar in the heart of Lindos under the Acropolis is amazing. But what makes this place even more unique and special is its owner - Kosmas, who is an amazing host in all levels you can think of.
We have selected Cesar Meze Bar for our pre-wedding cocktail reception in September 2023. Before confirming the venue we had some talks with Kosmas who never let us doubt about the quality of the restaurant and its being the right choice for a 100-120 group of internationals coming to Greece for our wedding - offering the best option for the first experience of a pre-wedding reception. We have reserved both levels of the rooftop and selected to offer finger food & wine from 19.00 till midnight. We have left all liberty to Kosmas to arrange everything.
When we arrived at our own party we were stunned by the beauty of the scenery, the atmosphere, the service and the buffet. The menu was a variation of refined mezedes of greek origin, unbeatable in taste and finesse; our guests was fascinated by the flavors and the presentation of the plates, whereas the offering was so generous that felt like a normal dinner buffet and not finger food. The music, the wine and the drinks were just dreamy, and we could not help being thankful to Kosmas who managed to please all our guests, requests that came as a surprise always in good mood, with a smile, confidence and great spirits.
We wish we could repeat that night again; our guests had only great comments for the venue, we would go again and again, for lunch or dinner, on any occasion, just to have the view, a glass of wine, a tasteful bite or more of some "grushi" (Greek Sushi), chicken skewers, tuna tacos or pork, and shake Kosmas hand.

Read moreCaesars is a pretty little restaurant located just below the Acopolis of Lindos. Some people claim it is hard to find, but if you stand facing the entrance of Dionysos and turn to your right, then follow the path around and up the hill behind Dionysos you'll find Caesars on your right, just opposite Captains House bar.
The three rooftop seating areas provide wonderful views across Lindos, and the restaurant has a rock garden around its ornamental swimming pool. The menu has a reasonable selection of dishes and the wine list is good. Prices are quite high - this is one of the more expensive restaurants in Lindos, and on that front it is on a par with Ambrosia.
Service and food can be rather hit and miss. The staff are all very nice but you will be approached initially by a waiter who takes your drinks order, and then a good while after that a second waiter will come to take your food order. It's quite a slow affair. Portions are quite small but were fine for me, although some will be hungry after eating. The food quality varies. This year we went on two occasions and on the first visit I had a delicious lamb kleftiko, which came served in a paper parcel and consisted of plenty of chunks of delicious, tender lamb, peppers, and cubes of toasted feta, with some roasted potatoes on the side. On our second visit I had the same again and was presented with a bag of peppers and feta with only a few pieces of lamb. It was a shame as I'd raved about how nice the dish was on the first visit, so on our second my girlfriend had the same and was disappointed.
All in all it's a lovely spot with great views, but don't expect fast service or a cheap meal, and if you go more than once be prepared for...
Read more... I didn't get the table which would have given me the perfect view over Lindos roofs, so make sure you reserve a good table before coming here or pray for luck... . The Menu looked good to me, prices according to a restaurant with a good bar and this view over Lindos and underneath the acropolis ... atmosphere is nice with the amazing view up to the acropolis... Music was too American, why?... In Greece I'd love to hear nice Greek mellow music... had to leave soon because of the bad music (covers) from any random Spotify Playlist that the woman next table knew so well :-(.. Selection of bread was really good, the sauces were too warm to me with this hot weather and, placed on the by the sun heated tables all day on the roof, well, they warmed up super fast.. The chairs were super hot (June, 19:45 hrs) so I was literally sweating my..... ss Lol! Other than that all kind of OK... luckily my sparkling water was kept cooled all the time, so I think it was my absolutly highlight at this place The table I asked to get was supposed to be booked at 8pm but it stayed empty though, all of my stay... that was the reason no to have dinner here, I don't leave my money behind where I am no treated as a client with a certain table wish, but as a woman solo who is not the nice table worth it, better to others who can bring double check!!!??... Their loss!!! After 8:30 pm the wind was kind and cooling up after a hot day, so because think about it, cause there are not many roofs to sit under here... So it would be a good place for longer late dinners in the hot summer... Try and get your own experience but I don't need to come back here.... Bad...
