Laganis Greek Restaurant — Restaurant in Municipality of Rhodes

Phenomenal service and food! We were walking by and were greeted by a man who was genuinely warm and kind. We told him we would come back in an hour but we walked down and the other restaurant tried to pull us in which we spoke to him and continued walking. In 5 minutes, we walked back to Laganis because we had to taste the food. Great decisions were made!

We ordered the Mixed Seafood platter for two but while waiting we also decided to order the Lamb chops. The Lamb chops were perfectly charred with the most perfect seasoning for Lamb. The flavors masked the gaminess perfectly matched with a perfect texture. The star of the show, the seafood platter was amazing. The lobster was filled with natural flavors in every bite. The mussels were cooked so well and were tender. The grilled octopus was nicely charred and paired well with the sauce. The calamari was battered with a nicely seasoned batter that came out with the sauce. The fish was as nicely seasoned on the outside where the meat was cooked to perfection.

We also had a visit from the manager (cat) that politely sat as we ate. We gave her a sample of the food to ensure quality was met.

We finished our meal with a cappuccino which was topped with homemade whipped cream.

The man was really the best part as we were treated with genuine kindness. I highly recommend venturing past the scenic gardens to Laganis. I hope to return to Rhodes one day just to visit this...

This gem was very close to where we were staying near the Akandia gate . After a disappointing first dinner in the Old Town, we were skeptical—but discovering Laganis turned everything around!

The service was amazing, and the food was absolutely delicious. The servers were incredibly kind and took the time to recommend several dishes to us. Everything was freshly prepared, and the lovely outdoor setup paired with the great weather made for a perfect dining experience. We loved it so much, we went back for dinner again!

Chicken soup Mushroom soup Fish soup Stuffed mushrooms Aubergine dip/salad (amazing taste!) Bread platter Cheese balls Zucchini balls (again, super tasty) Vegetarian platter (a surprise hit!) The portion sizes are huge, and the warm, attentive service really added to the experience. We thoroughly enjoyed our food, conversations, and time spent here.

2nd night eating here, 1st night the food was lovely. 2nd night, food arrived but no cutlery, waiter said he would go and get some, he didn't. We asked again and they promised to bring some but both waiters were more interested in getting bums on seats. We then went to the kitchen to try and get some cutlery, we were told to go back to the table and a waiter would bring us cutlery, our food was now cold as it had been on the table for 20 mins. In the end we went to the kitchen and ignored the woman and got our own. The food was cold and the meat was awful, we ended up giving it to the cats, also our drink did not arrive. It is unbelievable how two nights could be so different, especially when the 1st night was busier. Young girl at the till gave us the bill with no apology or smile. Our advice,...
