We had one of the most disappointing dining experiences here. To start, the food was a complete letdown. The pizza tasted like it came straight from the freezer, with no freshness or flavor at all. The schnitzel was dry, tough, and clearly not made with care. For the prices they charge, the quality was shocking.

The restaurant was full of cats wandering around, which made it feel unhygienic and uncomfortable while trying to eat. On top of that, it was incredibly noisy between the constant loud chatter, clattering, and animals roaming around, it was impossible to relax or enjoy a meal.

What made things worse was the service. The staff seemed moody and uninterested from the moment we arrived. When we politely raised our concerns about the food, no one bothered to check in, apologize, or offer to make things right. It felt like they simply didn’t care about their customers.

Then came the owner, and honestly, his attitude made the whole experience even more unpleasant. Instead of listening to our feedback, he arrogantly insisted that the food was “good quality” and dismissed everything we said. There was no professionalism, no courtesy just pure defensiveness.

A gem in the heart of Rhodes Old Town.

Eros Restaurant was hands down one of the highlights of our time in Rhodes. Walking through the Old Town can be overwhelming, with hosts from every direction trying to pull you into their restaurant. Eros stood out immediately by not doing that. There was no pushy sales pitch, just a calm confidence that let the atmosphere and food speak for itself.

Instead of following TikTok trends or choosing places based on hype, we looked for where the locals were eating.

Eros offered truly lovely, authentic Greek cuisine that was full of flavour and heart.

The staff were outstanding. Welcoming, kind, and genuine. On our first visit, the service made us feel right at home. When we returned a few days later, the head waiter not only remembered us but took the time to speak with us again, making us feel like valued guests rather than just passing tourists.
