Aquarius — Restaurant in Municipality of Thira

The service was adequate, the employees were courteous and the service was rapid. But that was pretty much the only good thing about our experience there. I don't tend to complain about restaurants and my reviews are usually positive, but here... The Greek salad was below average with cucumbers that tasted strange (and a high Santorini price). The white wine was passable; but most of all, I suggest everybody to avoid the mix fish/seafood platter. 45 euro for a platter with every single thing on it overcooked. The swordfish was hard and dry. I could barely remove the shell of the shrimps. The skin of the seabass was stuck to the meat and it was difficult to remove the bones. The octopus and the calamari were like rubber. There's no dip of any kind, you're only given some lemons. In the end, we gave most of the platter to the stray cats. The rice and fries coming as a side dish were not so bad. Overall, it doesn't mean you should avoid this restaurant necessarily, but I'd recommend you don't eat anything coming...

We had an amazing experience at this place. The waiters are extremely attentive and friendly. We have a 2 year old and at times he can get a little anxious when it comes to waiting for his food, these guys were just amazing with him, super funny and amicable, definitely A+ for service. Now, the food, OMG!!!! This food is DELICIOUS, super tasty and affordable. My husband had the lamb chops and I ordered the mixed seafood platter with the intention to share, and still we had leftovers, these plates are HUGE. Needless to say my husband had a blast pigging out. The drinks were super tasty, and they gave us free desert and a lollipop for our son (super cute, the guy made a deal that if he ate all his food he will give him a lollipop, and he did). Totally recommend it, we are coming back for diferent dishes next time, we have our eyes in some lobster and octopus. If you come to Santorini, definitely have a meal at this...

Aquarius is a wonderful restaurant at the beachfront which boasts diverse menu at reasonable prices (at least for me).

My only major issue with the restaurant is the service. Not that the staff are rude or anything, but that we were made to wait over and hour for our food. I usually don't comment on the service aspect of restaurants but this time I noticed that customers who came more than 30 minutes after us were served the exact same dish before us.

This is absolutely infuriating and really made what could have been a stellar afternoon at the beach much less than that.

Food wise, they're fine. As I will not be returning to Greece in the near future, I can only hope their service for my table today is a once in a...
