We ate at Sirocco on a recommendation, when we got to the restaurant staff came and we sat pretty quickly, our menus were given to us and that was when the waiting started, we wasn't asked if we would like a drink while we chose from the menu and drinks got ordered with the food, we had a starter and this was nice, our main course arrived 30 seconds after finishing our starter all the used plates from the starter were left empty on the table, we then had to juggle were to put the main course plates, we were not offered fresh cutlery and had to wipe the cutlery we had used from our starter for our main course, after we had finished the staff collected all the dishes and we waited with empty glasses for 50 minutes, in the end my partner went and spoke to the staff asking them for the bill and let them know how long we had waited to get another drink, disgraceful behaviour from staff to be sat waiting for such a long time at no point did anyone even look over so we could attract their attention. Food was average service...
Read moreSirocco is the best Greek restaurant in Perissa. It is located away from the beach area but that shouldn't put you off. It is open until late and has a wide range of people eating there. It was great to see tourists and locals eating in the same restaurant. The atmosphere is very chilled, with no hassle of people trying to pull you in from the street. It is an inside restaurant, but has open windows and slots in the roof depending on the weather and how hot it is. The food is extremely good and there is a wide range for all tastes/diets. The restaurant is known for its hand made wood fired pizzas which are fantastic. However, all of the other food tried was also top class, including the pasta, greek dishes and desserts. The prices are reasonable and lower compared to the main beach run of restaurants in Perissa. It was one of my favourite restaurants and should definitely be on your radar if you are in Perissa. You can thank me later ;) Highly...
Read moreAfter several days of trying and failing along the beach, we stumbled on this restaurant for some pizza. And the pizza was great. First decent meal in Santorini. So we returned the next day and tried their specials Menu. They offered among other things a 550 gram T-Bone that they said was from Charlois cattle. It was wonderful, perfectly grilled, with a side of chrispy French fries, and grilled vegetable. And of course the juicy lemon slice to make it all perfect. My friend had a Portobello mushroom pasta that was delicious to. The staff was very friendly. And we have been back one more time for seafood, equally delicious. So this is a place you can safely visit for good food. Do not trust the tripadvisor ratings for the beach restaurants. I suspect heavy fluffing if the ratings. Sciroccos prices is moderate to inexpensive...
