We opted for The Five Senses restaurant for our sunset dining experience. It’s one of the few fine dining places in the area and perfectly located for our night. NOTE, although it was only 5 mins walk according to google from our resort, there are no path signs and you can easily get lost, so leave plenty of time to get there.

We opted for a table on what they call the front row. This offers spectacular undisrupted views of the Caldera and sunset. To secure one of these 5 tables, you must dine from their degustation (tasting menu) @ €130 per head. We didn’t find issue with that as we like what was available.

The food was good but in our opinion, not good enough to justify the price tag. Some of the flavours didn’t work, some of the dishes were over powered but one or two flavours.

What we do take issue with, is we weren’t asked if we had any food allergies. This is a serious oversight and we mentioned this to our waiting staff. Luckily we don’t, but many do and can be dangerous. Hence why we are knocking a star off our review.

They have a good selection of wines and some locally inspired cocktails. We strongly recommend the Summer Colada.

The evening ended with a firework display, a pleasant surprise, thou we doubt it’s a one off.

Overall, we rate this between 3.5-4 stars as you are mainly paying for the sunset views.

Finally, the staff were amazing , well informed and always on hand to help., bar that one...

One of the hardest decisions that I had to make during our honeymoon in Greece was picking which restaurant in Santorini to enjoy a beautiful sunset dinner.

My wife and I stayed at Astra Suites (which was absolutely perfect) and after much research, decided to book a reservation at their restaurant, Five Senses.

We dined in early October, and decided on a 6:30pm (1830) reservation. The time was suggested by the restaurant as I had originally planned for slightly later in the evening. The timing turned out to be perfect as we enjoyed our drinks and took in the sun setting into the Aegean Sea, it felt like we were sat upon the top of the world.

My wife and I booked our reservation online well ahead of time and had opted for the five course dinner.

All of the food was very, very good, we ended the night full and happy. Some of our favorites courses were the eggplant amuse-bouche, grilled lettuce and scallop salad, grilled calamari, and the delicious wagyu steak mushrooms and a port sauce!

The highlight of the dinner was sharing a bottle of sparkling wine from the famous Santo Winery and having a dinner worthy...

Magnificent sunset views overlooking the caldera set the stage for one of the most memorable evenings we had in Santorini. From the moment we arrived, the service was warm, genuine, and perfectly orchestrated - special thanks to Effe and Anna for their thoughtful attention to every detail.

The team even received flowers on my behalf to celebrate a special occasion, and everything was beautifully arranged at our table. It was such a personal touch that elevated the entire evening.

The food was exquisite, each course thoughtfully presented and full of flavour. A standout for me was the scallops in lobster bisque - rich, perfectly balanced, and elegantly plated. The wine selection paired seamlessly with the meal, flowing in harmony with the changing colors of the Santorini sky.

From the heartfelt service to the spectacular setting and refined cuisine, Five Senses delivers a complete sensory journey. Highly recommended for those looking to celebrate something special—or simply indulge in the beauty...
