The view is very beautiful, we were there yesterday, but from the threshold we were met by a waiter or an administrator, I don't know who he is, and this person ruined our evening. I ask you to take action because his behavior is very arrogant. We were dressed in ordinary clothes, as we spontaneously decided to go there. Maybe that's why he behaved so unpleasantly with us. But it doesn't give him the right to behave like that. Unfriendly, and an important point is that he was very perfumed and it was unpleasant and disgusting. But the worst thing is that he passed his arrogance at the end when we asked for the bill, and waited to pick it up, he opened the check with the money and started counting the money in my face. It was very unprofessional and unpleasant. I haven't seen anything like that yet. And as soon as we finished eating, he immediately began to collect the dishes very loudly and discontentedly. Showing how he doesn't respect us, I'll point out that it was unused dishes. Unfortunately, I don't know his name, he's about 40+, he's tanned, wearing a blue shirt and with curled eyelashes. We are staying at La Maltese Estate- the hotel right on top of Mavro Restaurant and upon arrival we weren’t really clear that the restaurant wasn’t part of the hotel as they look like they go together so we asked a waitress and she said it wasn’t but we could still take pictures there. That evening as the sun was setting we got all dolled up and went to take pictures where nobody was at (my brother and I) and a waiter/ possible manager of the restaurant comes over and starts berating us in front of people saying we aren’t apart of that establishment, we asked if we could just take one pic and explained that we are staying at La Maltese and had already asked for permission and been told yes by the other waitress - he continued to say no - blocked the staircase for me to get back to the room very aggressively while telling us to leave… how can we leave when you’re blocking us in? Let's start with the positive - the location, Ambiente, Design and service were fantastic. You have a beautiful view on the sunset, and the waiters were very nice and attentive. However, even after asking twice upon reserving the table about vegan or vegetarian options, I was told no problem, they would prepare something for me as the menu didn't show anything (vegan). When we were there to dine however, I was offered one of the salads or otherwise 'pasta with butter'. I was baffled how a nice restaurant like this would offer a children's dish for probably 30€. I instead only had an appetizer which had a decent enough size to fill me, however it was bread with what tasted like tomato paste from the tube and incredibly bitter spinach on top, no herbs or anything. I couldn't finish it as it really didn't taste good. My partner had pasta with seafood and loved it. The desserts we each had were also very good, I actually found the portion sizes rather big.
