Hotel Sunny Villas — Hotel in Municipality of Thira

Wow! What a place to stay in Santorini. Hotel Sunny Villas has it all. The view, the location, cleanliness, staff, service all 5/5!! I selected this hotel based on the reviews, the location, and the price. Boy were we in for a treat. Upon our arrival we walked from the street to an alley that would lead us to the hotel. Walking down the alley we were stopped in our tracks. The view was nothing short of breathtaking. (You can see it in the pictures below.) Things were only going to get better.

When we found the hotel office, we were promptly greeted by a friendly staff ready to help. One staff member took our luggage to the room while we checked in. The staff gave us a map without question and gave us a guided run down of the best places to go in Santorini. The staff also advised us that if we wanted to have reservations made to any restaurant to let them know and they would make it happen. We took them up on this offer and we were thankful that we did. Every night we went out, the restaurants were almost always booked and we still got a seat. Patrons would come in and get turned away while we ate. Take them up on this offer you will be glad you did.

The room! Oh, my goodness, what a beautiful, clean room with a jaw dropping view. (pics attached) The room is well kept and rather spacious. We really admired how every room had its own private balcony with a view! The rooms all have a mini refrigerator and glasses and a coffee maker. The bathroom was large enough for the two of us. The shower never ran out of hot water. The beds were comfy. There is also a TV but we never used it. Where Hotel Sunny Villas really impressed us was with the breakfast. The breakfast was brought to your balcony when you were ready. All you would do is call the office staff and let them know you are ready and they would bring it out to you. Hot coffee, juice, meats, cheeses, fresh fruit, fresh bread, real Greek yogurt etc. just look at my pics!

I am not joking around when I say this was the best hotel experience I have ever had and recommend it to everyone. Quit searching for hotels and book this one now, you will be glad you did! My wife and I recently stayed at Hotel Sunny Villas for our honeymoon and we were absolutely blown away by how professional and beautiful this hotel was!

Timmy, Alex, and Erees ( hopefully I am spelling this right) were extremely accommodating in every way!

The hotel arranged an airport transfer for us before we even got to Santorini and even carried our bags down all the stairs to the room.

We stayed in the Executive Honeymoon Suite and I could not recommend it enough to stay in this room. You get a beautiful private sunset view in a hot tub that is literally on the cliffside of Imerovigli.

Unlike a lot of sunset-view hotel rooms in Santorini, this one is ACTUALLY private and is not obstructed by the main footpath and hundreds of people walking by.

Being in this village of Imerovigli is also recommended if you are looking for a quieter stay in Santorini. The hotel is a short distance to the "main" area of the village with small supermarkets and fast food places for souvlaki ( try Let's Eat! it was delicious) Oia and Fira were beautiful although they were always crowded - and we went at the beginning of the off-season!

Breakfast is delivered quickly and is a good value for a continental - I could not get enough of the yogurt and honey! This certain room also came with a mini-bar with juice,sparkling water, coke, and some chocolate that were ours to have for free!

Our hot tub stopped working and they sent someone to fix it the same day it was fixed We had changes in reservations for dinner and they called the restaurants and arranged everything They had recommendations for different towns and excursions to do which was a great help

What a hidden treasure ! We recently stayed at hotel sunny villas for our honeymoon moon (10 nights). We spent so much time looking for the right accommodation and decided upon hotel sunny villas. It was hands down the best decision we made! Our room had an incredible view and was updated and spacious. Every morning a beautiful fresh breakfast was brought to us on our balcony (there’s plenty of food). Timmy and Andreas were so welcoming and kind during our stay - they upgraded us one night as a surprise to another beautiful room, helped us order food in, arranged a taxi for us, communicated with our wine tour guide when they were late to help us ensure we were picked up at the right spot, and even gave us medication when the pharmacy was closed and we weren’t feeling well. There is also a lovely woman whose name I didn’t get but she works with them as well and is wonderful. They are so kind and caring towards their customers and work very hard to ensure everyone has a wonderful stay. The hotel is located in an incredible location - truly the best location on the entire island with stunning views of the caldera and sunset. The hotel is very clean and every day someone comes to clean the rooms and the balconies (they even sweep and fluff the outdoor balcony and pillows every morning). You will not be disappointed in this decision - it is a wonderful place and we look forward to returning again.
