I recently had the pleasure of dining at Obelix, a Greek restaurant in Santorini, and I must say that it was an unforgettable experience. The moment I stepped into the restaurant, I was struck by its cozy and welcoming atmosphere. The staff greeted me with warm smiles and promptly seated me at a table with a stunning view of the sea.
As soon as I perused the menu, I knew I had to try their souvlaki. Let me tell you, it did not disappoint. The meat was succulent, well-seasoned, and cooked to perfection. The portion size was generous, and the sides of pita bread and tzatziki sauce were the perfect accompaniment. It was, without a doubt, the best souvlaki I have ever had.
The restaurant also had an extensive list of Greek wines and beers that perfectly complemented the flavors of the food. The staff were knowledgeable about the various options and helped me select the perfect pairing for my meal.
Overall, Obelix is a must-visit restaurant in Santorini. The food, atmosphere, and service were all exceptional, and I will definitely be returning on my next trip to the island. If you're a fan of Greek cuisine, you won't be disappointed by the delicious...
Read moreNot a lot of pork for a portion of pork gyros for €8.50. We did not get what we paid for! The guy gave us the last bit of pork from the gyro stick. Also very disappointed it’s mostly fat not meat! I left hungry and wanting to buy a chicken gyros in pita for €2.90. But they didn’t serve us for a long time and when I say I don’t want it anymore, I want to cancel the order, the guy gave us left over chicken scrapes from the previous serving onto a pita bread! So I sad NO and turned away. Unfortunately this place is not for us as they gave us pork scraps and then intended to give us left over chicken scrapes! Very disappointed! You wouldn’t understand if you haven’t see the situation. And I left this place...
Read moreIf you have not been to Santorini and you arrive hungry, this is the first place you should go. The sign says they have the best Gyros on the island and it rings true. The Best! I have been coming to this restaurant for 30 years and literally nothing has changed, (except the workers got a bit older like me) but the quality, the portion size, the taste is the exactly the same. I recommend the pork gyro pita. It is the the most popular thing on the menu. My mouth is watering just writing this review. They have a very large menu to please just about everyone. Don’t miss this place!...
