Without exaggeration the worst place/restaurant we have ever visited! Even a canteen on the street bears better quality features than this place. Where to start from? We made a reservation which they changed without informing us! The reservation was for a sofa in front of the balcony to enjoy the sunset and celebrate a family anniversary (this was also mentioned on the phone communication when the reservation was made). When we got there, 28th of July, we were shown a table in the back, in the internal part of the restaurant..... We asked if there had been a mistake and the result? We ended up listening to 15 minutes of nonsense from the manager and one of her colleagues... Thanks God they didn’t force us to beg for forgiveness that we dared and mentioned what our booking was about! Normally we should have left, but the truth is that we were quite hungry and decided to give it another chance. But this was a truly bad decision that we made! 1.5 hours after ordering they had only brought the salads and a talagani....which the waiter then decided to remove from the table before we finished it (I won't bother to mention the cost...sure and unfortunately more than his daily wage).....And after he removed the plates from the table, the wait for the main courses began....waiting, patience, heroism..... 1 hour and 15'... I can’t really find the right words to describe it...But how much more patience? There was no longer even the sea view to save their inability...It was already 22:15... So we asked to pay and just get out of there! After a panic of negotiations between them, as if they had to manage a nuclear threat, my husband ended up having a conversation with the Andronis' Hotel Manager, and receiving an unbelievable strong verbal threat from the chef, who was sitting at the same table with the Hotel Manager, which was accompanied by aggressive body movements. The Hotel Manager panicked and in a strong tone asked the cook to leave the table as his situation had completely gotten out of hand. Then the Hotel Manager mentioned that the particular cook is crazy and continued, unfortunately in a strong ironic tone, to prove us wrong. According to him, it was not so tragic that a)we didn't find our reservation, b)they never informed us that they had changed it c)the food was never reached our table (more than 1 hour delay!) d)the chef was crazy and out of the kitchen ready to attack anyone who dared to complain .... etc etc... We just asked for the chef's name in order to be able to sue him but he didn't give it to us. We just got his own card with his details and when we mentioned that we would need to share what we experienced in Pacman with the hotel’s management team, we were offered the cheapest ever proposal! The so called well experienced manager told us to call him the next day to arrange something nice for us while also felt the need to cancel our bill... No, Mr. Hotel Manager. We don't want to call you to arrange something nice for us or to cancel our bill. We paid the bill and left. Such rudeness, sloppiness, indifference, lack of expertise and cheap attitude we have never met before! Unfortunately, they are the ones who will lead our wonderful islands to decline in the...

I visited Pacman restaurant in Santorini after hearing rave reviews about its stunning sunset views and while the setting truly is beautiful, the service I received was anything but.
From the moment we arrived, the experience was disappointing. We waited nearly 30 minutes just to receive a menu, with no acknowledgment from the staff in the meantime. Once we finally ordered, we were brought what appeared to be complimentary bread and salad. Before we could even touch it, the manager approached us not to apologize for any confusion, but to accuse us of knowingly taking food that wasn’t ours. His exact words were, “You know what you ordered,” implying we had intentionally tried to take someone else’s meal. It was an unnecessarily rude and confrontational approach to what was clearly a mistake made by their own team.
Things only got worse from there. A bowl of rice was brought out (not ours), which we immediately sent back, emphasizing that we’d like all our food to arrive at once to avoid further mix-ups. Shortly after, another waiter brought out my dish but placed it in front of my friend. When she corrected him, he shoved it across the table toward me and walked off without a word.
At this point, my frustration was clear. When the manager passed by and asked what was wrong, I tried to explain starting with the way he initially spoke to us. Instead of taking accountability, he became defensive and dismissive, refusing to acknowledge the poor service.
What stood out even more was how differently this same manager treated two different tables with white male guests nearby. I observed him being polite, attentive, and patient with them a stark contrast to how we, two Black women, were treated. It left me wondering if our race played a role in the quality of service we received.
The energy was uncomfortable, the staff consistently unprofessional, and despite the beautiful view, **I ended up taking my food to go, just to escape the tension.
Pacman seems to rely on its prime location and Instagram-worthy ambiance, but unfortunately, they appear to believe that excuses poor treatment and rude customer service. It doesn't. I cannot recommend this place based on our experience, and I hope they reflect seriously on how they treat all their guests, not just the ones who fit a...
Read moreUnfortunately, our visit to Pacman didn't live up to expectations. We had booked through Google, hoping for a nice spot to unwind after a day in Oia, enjoy a drink, and watch the sunset.
When we arrived, a waiter asked if we planned to eat or just have drinks. We said we’d start with drinks and might consider food later. He told us we had to decide right away, as the type of table would depend on our choice. We opted for cocktails, but instead of being seated at a proper table, we were placed at the bar — with only two stools for five people. The other three in our group had to sit on a low wall, even though many tables and lounge areas were clearly available. Trying to stay positive, we decided to enjoy the moment and leave after the sunset. We each ordered a cocktail, with an average menu price of around €22 per drink. When we asked for the bill, we were told that a minimum charge of €40 per person applies when choosing the drink-only option — regardless of what you actually consume. This was never mentioned to us beforehand.
We asked to speak with someone for clarification, and after waiting about 15 minutes, the same person who had originally shown us to our seats came to speak with us. She admitted that she had forgotten to inform us about the minimum fee. After checking all the notes linked to our reservation, she asked us to wait a bit longer to speak with the manager.
Another 15 minutes later, the manager finally arrived. He reviewed our reservation and confirmed that there was no mention whatsoever — not even in the fine print — of this €40 minimum per person. To their credit, he acknowledged the mistake and agreed that we should only be charged for what we actually ordered.
While they were ultimately honest and resolved the issue correctly, the overall experience left much to be desired. The spot where we were seated was uncomfortable (no table at all), and considering the total cost, we all agreed that the only real highlight was how photogenic the place looks.
There are many other venues in Santorini that offer a better atmosphere, more genuine hospitality — and greater...
