BEWARE OF DECEPTIVE HIGH PRICING AVERAGE QUALITY. I typically don’t write reviews but this ice cream left a terrible taste in mouth. The whole “pricing by 100g and very competitive” would work great if you were buying predetermined quantity of ice cream like in a supermarket. The store person would gladly hand you 400grams in 2 scoops. Imagine the calories and volume of ice cream in such a large quantity. Save yourself — go across the street to super market or a “by the scoop” priced ice cream shop. On top of that the shop has no consideration for environment. They put the large cup inside another cardboard box that says on it “recycle me”. Why would you create waste by giving people unnecessary red sleeves of paper? And finally the server wanted a tip for serving a take away ice cream and after charging 9+ euros. Bad at so many levels. Probably only in business because there are no repeat customers. New tourists...
Read moreI was really excited to bring my friends for frozen yoghurt in Greece to celebrate their 30th birthday. I am disappointed to write that the ice cream and frozen yoghurt was not well explained. The server filled the cup full, did not give an option to stop and did not explain it was paid by weight. After my friends had paid I had asked to get a smaller cup, as I did not want the amount that the server had put in, as there was no room for toppings. After politely explaining this the server said that I was, ‘Not a small child’, and swore at me multiple times. The server became increasingly verbally aggressive and intimidating while trying to get me to pay for a service I did not ask for. I had explained that I would be willing and keen to pay for a smaller cup with toppings. I have worked in the hospitality sector for many years and found this interaction inappropriate, unkind and...
Read moreYou need to know something before you decide to go here. I’m an American and am very accustomed to paying for frozen yogurt by the weight. However there are two things which are a bit scammy/problematic with Chillbox. First the employee pulls the frozen yogurt lever for you so you pay for however much they put in your cup. It doesn’t make sense why you can’t do this yourself. Second and to me, completely unheard of, is that they also charge for scoops of gelato by weight…that’s ridiculous because you have zero control over how big of scoop they give you. The price becomes very expensive for people who may not have wanted so much and the gelato turned out to be nearly double what I paid at other places nearby. It’s not a fair practice in my opinion and there are better options a minute away. More people should be made aware. They then have the nerve to ask...
