Santorini in whole is beautiful but town Oia is heaven. The most marvellous thing about Santorini is the architecture of the villages, built right on the edge of the caldera. These picturesque villages distinguish for their sugar-cube houses, the paved streets, the wonderful churches and most of all the breathtaking view to the Aegean Sea. From Oia, you will enjoy the most romantic sunset of your life, with the orange sun dipping into the sea. Due to this special atmosphere, Santorini has become a popular wedding and, at the same time, honeymoon destination.
Apart from walking the caldera villages, also worth to visit in Santorini are the lovely beaches on the southern side of the island, including the Red Beach, Kamari, and Perissa, which have developed into large beach resorts. Read moreMy wife and I visited this marvellous spot on our latest trip to Santorini, it has an amazing view of the blue dome chapels and the Santorini caldera, 𝗷𝘂𝘀𝘁 𝗸𝗲𝗲𝗽 𝗶𝗻 𝗺𝗶𝗻𝗱 𝘁𝗵𝗮𝘁 𝘁𝗵𝗶𝘀 𝗽𝗹𝗮𝗰𝗲 𝗰𝗼𝘂𝗹𝗱 𝗯𝗲 𝘃𝗲𝗿𝘆 𝗰𝗿𝗼𝘄𝗱𝗲𝗱 𝗱𝘂𝗲 𝗶𝘁𝘀 𝗶𝗻𝗰𝗿𝗲𝗮𝘀𝗶𝗻𝗴𝗹𝘆 𝗽𝗼𝗽𝘂𝗹𝗮𝗿𝗶𝘁𝘆, indeed there is a waiting line to take your desired photo, just be patient, in our case it took us 10 minutes to take our turn for shooting our photo, but the wait was worthy and the people patient waiting you.
The best moment for a great shoot is at the golden hour or very early in the morning to avoid crowds, so, be creative, take your shots and do not disturb locals.

There were very few people who were considerate to other and leaving the spot for next travelers. I would say, don’t go there (in one of my photos you will see the queue). I took my other photos there. And don’t tell anyone about this...
