My husband and I stayed here. We booked for three nights ( Friday to Sunday ) and we could not make the first night because all ferries on the Friday were canceled to all islands because of the wind, so we had to stay in Milos one extra night and when I contacted secret gems to reduce our booking by one night it was declined. So that was very disappointing especially because it was pricey. As other travellers said; actually trying to find this place was difficult. GPS kept sending us in circles and I was communicating with the property with no luck. We finally, by luck, asked someone who told us we were at the right place and we had to park in a lot which was about 1 km away from the property and there was a shuttle to take you close to the property. We were greeted by Sabi who did get us settled in; and helped us with our luggage. There are many stairs and if you struggle with walking stairs this is not the place for you . We were very excited for this stay the accommodation , everything looked great on arrival, very unique setting almost cave like. The views of the bay and the sunsets were breathtaking. It was a very short walk to some very good high end restaurants. We had a jetted tub outside which was very unique however Sabi told us if we were wanting to use it we may want to clean it first ( I think maybe because wind could bring in the dirt), but maybe that should have been done prior to our arrival. Our place, cocoon, smelled of mold, maybe the air conditioner? The bathroom always seemed damp. Breakfast was delivered to each suite between 9 and 930 and it consisted of eggs , bread, pastries and juice which was good but I found it so wasteful because everything was in small little takeaway containers. It stated daily house keeping but we left right after breakfast and went for a big hike and when we returned in mid afternoon no one had come by, the garbage was overflowing. We had to ask someone to come by and they only brought fresh towels cleaned the bathroom sink and took some garbage . We left the next day. There were things we liked but we were overall were...

We just stayed 4 nights here and really enjoyed the stay. There were 3 of us in Nest suite. It was tight but definitely manageable. It was clean and comfortable and the AC worked well. What really made the stay was Nikos. He is such a nice guy. He was always available to be reached via text and was quick to respond and very informative and helpful. Breakfast was delivered every morning about 9 and it was surprisingly good. Parking here in my opinion is really not possible except early in the day or scooters. All of the boats pick up and drop off here so it’s completely jammed and impassible in the late afternoon until after sunset when everything clears out. There are steps to walk up to Oia. They say 278, however they are kind of numbered and it was about 230 according to these numbers. I’m not in great shape at all and I only had to stop twice. There are also donkey rides for 10 euros each. The other option is transfer coordinated through Nikos for about 20-25 euros to Oia. We usually went up in the mid morning, ate lunch and sometimes dinner in Oia and then came back down. Make sure your phone is charged for the light so as to be able navigate the steps and avoid the donkey droppings after dark. We also had friends staying up in Oia. It was nice to be able to come down and get away from the village in the evenings and being so close to the water was nice. The sunsets were amazing here as well. Probably the best in Oia. There are 3 or 4 restaurants to choose from and there is an ice cream shop as well that sells water, beer, wine and snacks. You can ask the restaurants for ice or bring it down from one of the small...
Read moreWe were greeted at the airport by Ion who kindly picked up our bags for us because we couldn't check in until later today (there was a movie being filmed at the location). He did this without even asking which was a nice and welcomed initiative. While we waited he also gave us with a map of Santorini and provided us with local suggestions of where to go and what to do. He also bought us an espresso while we listened too - super nice! We stayed in the Cocoon Suite which had amazing views of the sunset every night. The room had everything we needed (ensuite, drinkable water from the tap, a coffee pod machine, a mini fridge and fresh towels). It came with daily coffee a bottle of rose on arrival. We were nestled only a short (but heavy walk upstairs) from Oia, which was nice because it was a little bit more peaceful and made it easy for us to go where we liked. Ion also helped us book a winery a couple of restaurant reservations and even helped me organise a surprise birthday cake for my boyfriend which was delivered to him with candles after dinner by the waiters - a really nice and unexpected touch. Breakfast came every morning around 930-10am and usually contained a box of juice, eggs (omelet or scrambled on toast), Yoghurt or semolina with fruit, a cake or donut, and some bread and spreads. For us this was fine - were big eaters so used it as a snack (picked at what we wanted) then ventured off for a bigger brunch of lunch. All in all it was a great experience and we would recommend you stay here. Thank you to Ion for all his help...
