After 4 days in Parga it’s easy to say this was my favorite restaurant! It’s the prefect combination of excellent homemade food, friendly welcoming service, and favorable prices that you don’t get anywhere else “with a view.” Personally, I’d skip the higher price for a restaurant with a view and go somewhere that has to earn their stars via excellent food and welcoming service. Tzimas is a beautiful, smaller restaurant which feels like you’re sitting in the garden of a local’s home, ready to experience what their kitchen has to offer. Live plants create a canopy around the restaurant which sets a perfect atmosphere. You can tell the place is family run, and they do their best to accommodate everyone and make you feel welcomed. As far as dinner goes I had my usuals.. Dakos salata (the horiatiki looked amazing), taramasalata, saganaki (the best I’ve had in Parga), fried calamari, grilled octopus, and grilled lamb chops. Everything was incredible and I’d order it all again tomorrow.. I especially loved the saganaki and the giant portion of octopus. Some tables next to us got both the mousaka and pasticio which both looked incredible. Overall, Taverna Tzimas has been my favorite restaurant in Parga.. they are so friendly and let their dishes do the talking (vs being just another place with a view). I highly recommend visiting Tzimas especially if you are looking for traditional homemade Greek dishes at an extremely reasonable price.

This taverna has such darling decoration and looks like a garden oasis! I had been wanting to try it for a few days every time I passed by. The staff were kind and friendly, helping us navigate the menu with me being vegetarian and my partner having an allergy. While we loved the ambiance, the food (with one exception) was not so great, hence the 3 stars. The Dolmadakia aka rice-stuffed grape leaves were definitely canned and pre-made. They were dry and flavorless unfortunately. My partner ordered pork souvlaki, easily one of the most expensive souvlakis in Parga, and it was incredibly tough, flavorless and likely frozen. It only came with French fries- no pita, sauce nor vegetables. The only redeeming dish was the Gigante beans aka butter beans. They were a house special, made not with the usual tomato sauce but instead with leek, dill and herbs! They were delightful! Lastly, the WiFi speed was surprisingly okay! 6 mbps is pretty good for Parga.

This is a hidden gem. From the outside it is covered with lots of lovely plants but maybe seem a little dark and hidden. Pls overlook that and go inside. You won't regret. Its absolutely lovely and the former reviews about sober personell, I dont recognice. We were met with a lovely smile, took time to talk a little with Vicky, who was so sweet. And not to mention the food; ❤️. What can I say. I had a Prawn Saganaki with garlic bread and my friend a Spaghetti bolognies. Being a Texan, she usually ask for a hotsauce, tabasco and that was no problem. Most places we've been to in Greece could never offer that. All food superb, didn't even had to wait too long. All in All a lovely experience.
