Tucked away in the narrow streets of Parga, Hellenikon is the kind of place you feel lucky to discover. From the moment we stepped in, we knew we had found something special!
Mr. Dimitris, our waiter, went above and beyond to make us feel welcome. His warm hospitality, attentive service and wonderful conversations, turned dinner into an experience we will remember long after our trip.
The standout dish here is, without question, the kleftiko. Slow-cooked to perfection, it is the kind of meal you would travel for as it was rich, tender and infused with incredible flavor.
The fact that Hellenikon uses locally grown produce, especially their own tomatoes and eggplants, shines through in every bite, adding a freshness that sets them apart.
We were also pleasantly surprised by the house wine, which was excellent; something that is surprisingly hard to find in other resgaurants. It paired beautifully with every dish and made our dinner more enjoyable.
Our first visit was planned but the food, the wine and the warmth of Mr. Dimitris and their team drew us back again on our final night. That says everything you need to know!

Which isnt a "big deal" but it creates the impression of personal attitude. When we asked why we didn't get a compliment they told us that the bartender wanted us to leave quickly because there were people waiting outside for a table!! Again, we waited more than TEN minutes for the bill. I don't know how we were different from everyone else, their behavior was...
Read moreAbsolute gem of a restaurant. Amid such a mass of places to eat in Parga, Hellenikon was recommended by a friend of our group of six and it didn't disappoint. Lovely range of fresh appetisers followed by main dishes that were a cut above the normal fayre. Rich flavours, well seasoned and balanced with a nod towards European cosmopolitan style.
We had the house red at €9 per litre which was excellent. Overall lovely air conditioned setting, comfortable seats, friendly knowledgeable staff and open kitchen where the lady chef was hard at work. Clean modern loos!
A bit hard to find but definitely worth it. Find the anchor in the main plaza, look back towards the buildings and head up small alley steps at the side of the Nautic Club and follow street around for 20...
