Firstly we were travelling as a family of 6…Myself & my partner, my elderly mother, my eldest daughter & her partner and my youngest daughter. Age range from 23-73, and this was our second visit to beautiful Parga.||We were greeted on arrival by Achilleas the owner and shown to our accommodation, which was the Phos suite……it was just beautiful ! ||The apartment was situated on the top floor of the building and had 3 bedrooms, each with built in wardrobes and lots of storage space. It had a big balcony on one side with a couple of bean bag loungers and a table and chairs , and a huge terrace on the right side overlooking the pool with a sofa and low table, and a big egg chair to relax in.||Every room was decorated beautifully, modern but cosy and not clinical. Immaculate and cleaned/towels changed regularly. The kitchen was very well equipped with everything we needed. There was a basket with some crisp breads, butter, jam and honey, water and some orange juice in the fridge and a few cans of Mythos. The only thing missing initially was a toaster, there was supposed to be one in the cupboard but wasn’t….but a quick email to Achilleas and his lovely mother brought us one very shortly after. She apologised but it really wasn’t a problem. We were grateful that she brought us one so quickly. ||The bathroom was also stunning and had a washing machine in there, iron, ironing board, hairdryer, diffuser, sewing kit, and a cup of detergent for the washing machine. They really had thought of everything with all these little touches and it was clear they had gone out of their way to try to make guests feel relaxed and comfortable upon arrival.||The pool area was also beautiful, very clean, never got too busy, we always found beds when we wanted them.||The ONLY downside is it is located up a steep drive, however there are steps going from the bottom all the way to the top. As long as you are reasonably fit they are both manageable, and tbh you soon get used to it, and it’s well worth the effort for the standard of accommodation and the kindness of the hosts that you are getting. There is parking for guests cars at the top so if you have a car it’s even easier.||We had booked a private transfer from and to the airport, which drove us up to the top to our door upon arrival. But on the day we left they sent a minibus with a longer wheelbase which could not get up the hill without risking damaging the bus. It was a problem as my mother who is 73 and has back problems struggled to walk far and would not have managed to get down the hill. ||However Achilleas parents saw that we had a problem and very kindly put mum and as much luggage as they could in their car and drove her down to the transfer bus at the main road. They weren’t obliged to do this, but they didn’t hesitate when they realised the problem.||So to sum it up, we would all highly recommend Gallery Suites. A define 10/10, nothing at all to criticise….the whole site is beautiful, and the hosts equally as gracious. We will most definitely be back to stay there again. Incidentally they also own Achilleas hotel which looks on to Piso Krioneri beach, and Atrium bar which is up the steps to the right on Piso Krioneri, both also well with a visit....
Read moreMy husband and I have just spent a wonderful week here to join friends staying in the villa next door and we would definitely come back. We loved Parga and we loved Gallery Suites, which have been beautifully built and maintained.||Our suite was Phos, which overlooked the pool and had three comfortable bedrooms, a living/dining/kitchen area and one shower room. It was all very clean and modern and had everything we needed for a relaxing stay. The best thing was that, as well as a balcony, we had a private outside roof terrace, which always had shade and sun and was a lovely place to relax before getting ready to go out for dinner. ||There are a lot of steps uphill to the building but the quality of the accommodation made the climb worthwhile. It's so attractive and a few minutes walk to the old town and beach. The parking is not for the faint-hearted being up the steep driveway and round a tight turn but it's level with the ground floor apartments, so fine for unloading luggage. There's a supermarket very close by, plus a bakery, and a nice restaurant opposite if you don't want to go far for food. Whenever I phoned with a query, the phone was always answered immediately too.||The only thing I would say is that one toilet/shower room was fine for the two of us but might be something you'd want to think about if there were more of you sharing the apartment. The shower was always lovely...
Read moreWe sadly left Parga and these wonderful apartments today. Location is brilliant, near to the town with no need to tackle the trickier roads to get in and out with a hire car. |We arrived later than expected but were welcomed warmly and taken straight to our apartment. ||The apartment in itself was lovely. There are lots of touches to make it feel homely and little extras that you really appreciate after a long journey such as a fridge stocked with cold water, beer and orange juice.||We had the smallest apartment as it was the only one left we booked and whilst it worked for four of us given the choice I would have gone for a bigger one with an extra bedroom.||The hostess is friendly and smiley. She is present but not in anyway intrusive. ||We used the pool a lot. It was never too busy and there were plenty of sitting options both in sun and shade. ||I would highly recommend these apartments and would happily return...
