We’re generally easygoing diners and not ones to leave negative reviews, but this experience truly left us frustrated.
When we arrived, the staff were friendly—but in hindsight, it felt more like they were trying to quickly secure us as customers rather than offer genuine hospitality. The atmosphere shifted the moment we sat down. Our waiter seemed impatient from the start. We were rushed to order within moments, and when we said we weren’t ready, he returned just a minute or two later and stood silently over us, clearly pressuring us to decide quickly.
We asked for some suggestions, but the waiter offered no real guidance—just a vague “this is good” without any explanation. I specifically asked whether the meat selection portion was appropriate for one person, and was told that it was. When the food arrived, the portion was enormous, far more than one person could reasonably eat. It was frustrating because I had asked beforehand precisely to avoid food waste. Sadly, the food itself didn’t make up for the experience—both the meat and my Greek salad were bland and lacked any real flavour.
To make matters worse, when we went to pay, we were initially charged for two meat selections. After we clarified (again) that we had ordered just one, and showed that nearly half the plate was untouched, they began arguing that we should have spoken up earlier. Only after some back-and-forth did they acknowledge the mistake and adjust the bill.
Overall, the food was tasteless, the service felt rushed and transactional, and the entire experience left a bad impression. Definitely one of the worst dining experiences we’ve had. Sadly, I cannot...
Read moreIf you visit one place in Zakynthos… let it be this one. I don’t even know how to say this without sounding dramatic (but I’m gonna do it anyway): this wasn’t just dinner — it was an experience. A full-body, heart-warming, soul-hugging moment. From the second we arrived, we were welcomed like family. The man standing outside? An actual angel. So kind, so warm, like he was inviting us into his home. And the staff inside? Just as lovely. So genuine, so caring not fake or forced, just real people who love what they do. You feel it. And the food? Oh. My. God. The gyros was perfectly seasoned and crisp, the tzatziki was creamy, fresh, and had just the right kick. And don’t even get me started on the eggplant — YES, the eggplant ,it was rich, tender, flavorful, with a sauce that almost made me tear up. You could taste the love in every single bite. Everything was seasoned like someone’s Greek grandmother was in the kitchen.
And the prices? Insane for what you get. You’re sitting in a gorgeous location, eating like you’re in a food movie, getting treated like a VIP and then BOOM. A local musician walks in with a guitar and starts playing live Greek music. I swear I was living my Mamma Mia fantasy with better tzatziki.
This is not just a recommendation. This is a must. If you want to feel and taste the real Zakynthos come here. And bring your friends, your grandma, your crush, whoever. Because places like this are rare. We’re 100% coming back this holiday. Maybe twice. Because this wasn’t just dinner, it was a memory. Thank you all!!...

I found large pieces of stone in the scallops if I had chewed any faster, I could have broken a tooth. The scallops themselves were bitter, and the mussels also contained sand and small stones. The only relatively safe choices here seem to be the pizza (if you’re lucky), the bread, and the pasta. The restaurant is clearly aimed at tourists locals rarely visit, and it’s easy to see why. As for the service, it was far from satisfactory. The waiters were rude and seemed overwhelmed. We ordered some dishes and wanted to add a Greek salad, but the waiter responded quite rudely, saying that we could only order once and that he wouldn’t come back to our table again. I’ve never experienced anything like this before. Also, the waiters didn’t know the ingredients of the dishes and had to go back to the kitchen several times to check. There are too many tables, including those placed on both sides of the street, which causes the staff to constantly rush back and forth, unable to keep up. At the table next to us, guests sat without menus or any attention for 30 minutes and were clearly unhappy. I understand that it can get busy, but that doesn’t justify rudeness. If the staff can’t handle the volume, the number of tables should be reduced to avoid poor service and frustration. The only truly enjoyable aspect was the music but is that really a reason to come? It’s better to choose a place that’s less chaotic, with friendlier staff and...
