We had the pleasure of dining at Mavro Skordo, a charming restaurant run by Angelo and his brother. From the moment we stepped through the door, we knew we were in for a special experience.

The ambiance of the restaurant is warm and inviting, perfect for a relaxed evening out. Angelo greeted us with a friendly smile and made us feel immediately welcome. His passion for the restaurant and its journey was evident as he shared the inspiring and successful story of Mavro Skordo, which, despite its young age, has already made quite a name for itself.

The highlight of our evening was, of course, the food. The menu features an array of local dishes, all freshly made with the finest ingredients. Each dish we tried was a delightful blend of flavors, showcasing the richness of local cuisine. It was evident that a lot of thought and care went into the preparation of each plate, from the appetizers to the desserts.

This was a great little find. The young guy and front of house is super nice, very chatty and very informative. We didn't want to sit at one of the usual places around the square and so we stumbled across this place. I'm a big chicken souvlaki fan and I was pleasantly surprised that it wasn't on the menu. I went for the oven roasted chicken instead. A nice simple casserole-like dish with red and green peppers and onions. Sort of naturally sweet and delicious. So I messed up a bit with the photos, the food was so good I just got stuck in before I remembered. Definitely worth a visit if you're in the area. Just don't feed...

As you are approaching the door/garden of this restaurant, you feel like at home already. The atmosphere created by the two brothers is something, what makes you warmly welcomed and you feel, that you need to stay there for your meal. For starter we had gyros pies with bbq sauce and it was delicious. For mains we chose kebab and we were surprised with amazing flavours of meat, sauces and pita.
