I’m a long-term resident at Vivotel in Zone 1, Guatemala City, and I’m writing this review to share my concerns about Alejandra Molina, who I understand is directly involved with Nokiate’s operations across its locations, including this one in Antigua.
My experience with Alejandra at Vivotel, where she’s open a new rooftop restaurant, has been deeply disappointing and affects my perception of any business she’s associated with.
At Vivotel, Alejandra’s restaurant construction took eight months and resulted in a poorly made door that blocks residents’ access to the rooftop—a space I used daily for exercise, yoga, and sunrise views.
As the only long-term resident, I feel this was a targeted move to exclude me, and the door’s shoddy construction (easily bypassed) makes it pointless, especially with Vivotel’s existing security.
When I addressed this with Alejandra, she became aggressive, falsely accused me of breaking the door, and even used derogatory language, calling me a “gringo” in a disrespectful way as I left.
I also believe she may have my drone, which my DJI app shows is on the rooftop, but she denied it in a way that felt dishonest.
Given Alejandra’s unprofessional behavior and lack of consideration for others, I’m going to let people know about how disrespectful she is, not only to myself, but to anyone else who stays here and wants to use the terrazzo in the morning or on a day when they are closed.
I won’t separate the business from the person running it. I hope Nokiate’s management can address these concerns, as I’d prefer to support businesses that value community and respect.
For now, I’d caution potential diners to be aware of who’s behind this restaurant and how they...
Read moreNokiate, sushi restaurant in Antigua Guatemala. The banana Kong and Masaki roll are must-try dishes, with their delicious combinations of fresh banana, avocado, salmon, cream cheese, cucumber, and roe.
The sushi is made with high-quality ingredients and is beautifully presented. I also enjoyed the potatoes with spicy cheese, which were a perfect accompaniment to the sushi.
I would highly recommend Nokiate to anyone looking for a delicious and memorable dining experience in Antigua Guatemala. Thank you to the team at Nokiate for opening this amazing restaurant in our city!

Read moreWish I could give this zero stars and go back in time to never order from here. We got takeout for our last night in Antigua 2 Shibuya rolls, 1 Aco roll, and 1 Red Dragon. We were automatically charged a 12% tip for a total to 733 quetzales. The Shibuya rolls were completely inedible - the tuna was so fishy we genuinely thought we might get food poisoning. The rice to fish ratio was laughable, and the rice itself was undercooked and crumbled apart. I have no issue paying premium prices for good sushi, but this was honestly insulting. I’ve gotten better quality from my local grocery store. Would not...
