Attentive service, good value set menu, small portions which you expect for a set menu, however small portions also for the a la carte mains. Accompaniments to the main was more like a garnish but the food was tasty. The atmosphere was nice until we asked the waitress a minor question about the food. The cheesecake, which came in a small coffee cup and saucer and had squirty tinned cream on top, (which we thought was a coffee so we asked where the cheesecake was). The chef then came out, unrequested, and was very aggressive and confrontational. We explained we didn't realise it was cheesecake as it didn't look like a pieces of cheesecake, and tried to explain and also make light of it but the chef would not accept this or engage in light conversation or even smile back. I ended up leaving the bun as too much stodge. The chicken tasted nice but had an unusual slightly chewy texture, I think brining should add moisture and tenderness, but this wasn't quite the case unfortunately. The Cajun fries were nice enough, and it was served with a tiny morsel of corn on the cob, and there was no sign of the sriracha mayo mentioned on the menu, or maybe it was hiding on the bun which I didn't eat. It was an ok, edible dish, but wouldn't choose to order this dish again. My friend had belly pork with Guernsey cream mash which he said was good....
