Cannibal Cafe — Restaurant in Roatán

I can not remember when someone treated me this poorly and I work in a customer service for heavens sake… just avoid this place and use your money elsewhere. I was so embarassed and nearly in tears when we leaved this place. The whole staff is so rude.

Today we ordered two different large quesadillas, chips and salsa and some drinks. When the waitress repeated the order there was everything correct. She came back few minutes later and asked from me and my husban are we together and I said yes. Then she asked about my quesadilla order and I verified the flavor I ordered. Then food arrives, we got three quesadillas. When asked she said I ordered large one and that is it. It was weird but she said that was the item.. I could not eat all so I transfered rest of the food to one plate since I was about to ask box for them. then during the dinner without asking she brought the bill to us wich stated that we had ordered 3 quesadillas. When she came back I asked and she started to argue with me that I said two. I tried to explain kindly that I did not and she did not say anything about three quesadillas when verifying the order. Kept arguing with me, left and said that maybe she heard right and she will fix it only to bring other staff member in. Then both of them accused us about ordering three of them and that we should have asked when the food came, wich we did. Then the problem was that I transfered the food into one plate and they did not seem to listen when we told that the waitress said to us that this was the order and so we tought until we received the bill. After repetedly telling our side the staff menbers just left and the other one told our waitress that this was her fault and took the bill with them, we had not yet put any mone eveb there? We went down to pay just to get accused yet again this time by all of the staff in front of other customers of lying. After they yet again argued about this with us they deleted the extra quesadilla from the bill.

Then we noticed that there were something wrong with the prices. The waitress had written 3 quesadillas and the money amount was only for two all along. So apprently the waitress did mess something up afterall… maybe the bill was a cover up for the mistake or worse? Idk however, just dont support this kind of business where they treat the paying people like this. There are sweet reastaurants with amazing people here with same pricing, support them instead. This sort of mistake could have been handled so much better and they way it was handled tells us these are not...

Wonderful host, food, rooms with private bath and full kitchen, had one of the absolute best experiences of my entire life on a night snorkel guided by the owner, Kevin, swimming in Half Moon Bay, just steps away from the room. Stunning aquatic life that he expertly guided us to and even got lucky enough to actually interact with a curious octopus 😍 my life is officially complete! I cannot thank you enough. Def recommend to everyone. We stayed several nights or two different occasions and the staff were all always kind, informative and enjoyable. The food was delicious, the rooms spacious and we were even hooked up with an awesome hammock on the balcony just by mentioning liking the idea of it while booking online!-Bonus points for that extra attention to detail and kindness. The owner even lent us some books about the underwater world in the Bay Islands of Honduras and his sister owns a gift shop next door where I got a handmade octopus necklace. Will...

Wanna know how to screw up Mexican food? All you have to do is sit down at cannibal and order anything. You want rice? Beans? Any staple of real Mexican food (or even Tex-Mex) forget it. This place doesn't do rice, this place doesn't do beans, this place doesn't do side dishes. Because screw you, that's why! What you do get with your chicken quesadilla, for example, is a side of extra oil (even when they are not deep fried!) And an extra helping of bland sadness.
