Don’t let the unassuming appearance of the place fool you. This is a wonderful restaurant! It’s small, so be sure to make a reservation, no matter what size your party. Also, interestingly, it’s BYOB. There’s a place across the street with an ok selection of wines if you don’t make it to a supermarket or other purveyor before you get here. The tomatoes must be grown on island as they have real tomato flavor, so hard to find in most of the USA these days. The tomato bruschetta appetizer with diced tomatoes, olive oil, a bit of garlic and basil on house made bread toasted was sensational. I had a special pasta that night with mushrooms and sausage in a cream based sauce. Delicious! Service was relaxed and professional. The other patrons seemed to be expats so I think this place is well known in that community. I’d highly recommend Pazzo for dining out while on Roatan. We had a shuttle from our resort so I cannot comment on availability of parking. If you’re driving yourself you might want to...
Read moreIn Honduras you get a discount for food when you are over 60 years old and can show your residency card so I asked for my discount and he was not happy about that. So that kind of soured me. He actually Told Me Not to Come Back And now he is trying to tell me that i am a rich Expat (which i certainly am not!) THE LAW APPLIES TO EVERYONE. It is shocking how you think otherwise. And for the record, poor Honduran elderly people could never afford to eat there. Let me also throw in also that your server was pretty miserable. Have a great "one less person to eat in your establish day" and i will be sure to tell my story to others. You could have just done it without being miserable. And for the record, i am Canadian which means my dollar takes a huge hit against the American dollar. so don't tell me i am rich! Get your information correct. I did not build two house. I only have one house which i currently live in. I live off a pension like so many...
Read moreThis is not a restaurant. This is a dining experience. There are only about 7 tables, we had probably the last reservation, and a group of 10 showed up after many of the tables were already empty, and they were turned away because they did not have a reservation. Get your reservation.
I couldn't believe the flavor of the olive oil on the shrimp crostini! Get it if you're there, we got the other app too, because you have to enjoy everything this chef has present. Our entree's were perfection.
The wait staff was good, remember you have to bring your own wine/cocktails, but they will provide wine glasses.
At some point in your meal, Chef Johnny will come to check on you, he's amazing, we talked about his food, where he sources his products... then we also talked about what he liked about the island, how it compared to our homeland of Florida... What a cool chef to come sit with us for...
