Ayasofya Török Étterem — Restaurant in Budapest

I have given this kabab house in the buda side of budapest 3 stars because when I arrived the gentleman did say all he had was what was in front of me in the displays, So I ordered some chicken gyro on a bed of rice/salad and a soup. Both dishes were good and hearty with no surprises. As other reviews reveal they dont like to heat there food up to much, so be ready to ask for them to heat your food up a bit longer. After all that it was a good hearty meal and dined in the restaurant for £5. Fantastic value and i think the raps work out to be about...

Egy gyros pitában és egy gyros tálat ettünk🥙. A hús szaftos, nagyon finom, a hely már inkább étterem jellegű. A krumplijuk nem sült krumpli, hanem rendes oven-baked, nagyon finom. Szószok sűrűek , nem kihígított mint más helyeken. Zöldség friss, finom. Kutyussal voltunk , probléma nélkül kiülhettünk a terasz részre. A terasz egy belső udvarban van, tiszta kellemes és szép. A kiszolgálás gyors és kedves volt, az asztalhoz kihozták az ételt fizetés után, kérni a pultnál kell. A kiszolgálók nem magyar anyanyelvűek , de beszélnek magyarul, megértettük egymást. We ate a gyros in a pita and a gyros bowl🥙. The meat is juicy, very tasty, the place is more like a restaurant. Their fries are not fries, but oven-baked, very delicious. Sauces are thick, not diluted like in other places. Vegetables are fresh, delicious. We were with a dog, and we could sit out on the terrace without any problems. The terrace is in an inner courtyard, clean, pleasant and beautiful. The service was quick and kind, the food was brought to the table after payment, you have to ask at the counter. The servers are not native speakers of Hungarian, but they speak Hungarian, we understood each other. I can only recommend the place!...

VERY MEDIOCRE Kebab. In a city where there is a doner stand every other block along the korut, this one definitely does not stand out. Light on the meat, heavy on the lettuce, and a semi-stale pita just waiting to share your meal with the plate, if you remember to get one. I don't think I'll be heading back anytime soon for my lunch. Do better guys, there are already are enough, sad kebab stands...
