Great place. If you want to sit outside, you have to sit on the street where people go by, but you do it is not disturbing. You do not have the feeling that people who pass by are looking in you mouth. The food is really good, but the place is a bit high priced. I wouldn't say overpriced, but it could be cheaper. The waitress was a bit shy (don't know why), but got everything in order and in time. Sadly it is really hard to get good seafood in Budapest, but the Frutti di Mare soup was better than expected. The size of the meal is good, and there is a chance to get salad as a side dish, which is a great plus in my oppinion. I've seen the bad opinions, and I think the place has changed in the last few years.

An absolute gem of a restaurant and seemingly off the beaten path. We arrived for a late lunch and got the last table. We needed a gluten-free option and wow did this place deliver. We normally avoid Italian (though we love it) because it's only pizza and pasta, but Due Fratelli's had both gluten-free pizza and pasta as well as other meat dishes which were gluten-free. Portions were generous and prices were reasonable. Their homemade lemonade was a lovely combo of lemon and orange juices making a perfectly sweetened citrus drink. I highly recommend this restaurant. Everything my party ordered came out fresh and was absolutely delicious.

I hardly ever write a review but as I always led myself guide by the reviews before entering a place, I felt that I needed to write one today. The food this place serves is very delicious. I had the Vesuvio Pizza ( a real neapolitan pizza made from a lean dough) and my friend the Spaghetti Carbonara and knowing that we are very picky people regarding the quality and taste of the food, we found our dishes above delicious!! Also, the waiter was so kind and attentive and even taught us some hungarian words. I highly recommend this place!

Pros: They offer gluten free dishes and they use a separate oven for the gluten free pizza. However, when asked they told us they can’t guarantee there is no cross contamination. So if you’re celiac, this might not be the place for you

Cons: We tried the spaghetti carbonara and the gluten free pizza but both tasted awful. The spaghetti carbonara was served with another type of pasta and the sauce had nothing to do with carbonara. It was edible but far from enjoyable. The pizza’s base would have been fine but the tomate sauce was extremely salty so all you could taste is the salt. I never leave food on my plate but this time I had to The service was okay, professional but also a bit cold They close at 9PM which I find pretty early even for Hungarian standards

Overall, I can’t recommend this place even if you have limited options due to...

Place: Style is really reflects to Italy, very cozy atmosphere, romantic area. It is really clean. There are space for about 50-60 people. The inner part is warm and friendly and the outer terrace is really pleasant. The restroom is very clean and modern there is a lavender bouquet in the corner which makes nice scent.

Food: The variety of food is great. Almost only Italian cuisine a lot kind of pastas, pizzas, Italian soups and deserts. You can order all of your food with gluten-free also you can have gluten-free pizzas. I tried fusilli pasta and it was really delicious. The pasta was cooked as soft as it should be and the spices were perfect.

The waiter was kind and really helpful with a friendly smile on his face. We didn't wait long for our food and for the bill neither.

If you like Italian cuisine you should...
